  1. Ronan Keating songs on this forum page about Joe Bryan? Oh well. Life is a roller coaster.
  2. Who cares what you think about Alex or HNM. Did she go out with you or what?
  3. I can't laugh Dave as I'm sure you've told this tale fairly recently!
  4. News From Northern Ireland... Come here for a shower/bath. However, we could be entering drought conditions as it hasn't rained for 3 days.
  5. But you have to look after the pennies....there isn't a toll from Nailsea to Failand!
  6. The pony can be kept in the garage behind the Dolman.
  7. If I was his agent, I'd call him Han! I'd be his pedantic agent.
  8. Oooh Mr 'Orne. Bona. People forget that The Goodies were in terms of book sales far more popular than Python. 'Kids Programme.' We still listen to I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue. This is a show that keeps up with modern day humour. I listened recently to one of the very first episodes from the 70s. Wow! That was dated humour wise. Very slow paced. No doubt Mrs Trellis will have something to say about it.
  9. You can buy a part of the pitch that quickly?
  10. And Jacki....he came from Glasgow! From as in via!
  11. Asking as they might be exempt. What about those who are disabled and blue badge holders?
  12. Mary Ure played the girl from Dusseldorf who couldn't remember if the cathedral was on the left or right of the square! She was a top stage actress of her day.
  13. Where Eagles Dare. Ron Goodwin's music score is phenomenal. Clint was Clint but without a horse. Mr Burton was almost believable as a super-fit Army Major. The scenery and action! The film was made without CGI and green screens (but they did pioneer a new way of acting in front of a projected screen). The Alistair McLean screenplay (actually written before the book) might be slightly bonkers in the plot BUT what escapism....and that's just for the viewer. "Broadsword calling Danny Boy." The stunts! I went to school with the son of Richard Burton's stuntman, Alf Joint. Those stunts took place on real cable cars.
  14. I did! Feb 24th. Here it is again... I'm pleased if it is O'Neill The shirts will most probably be made in Strabane, Norn Iron or in Dublin. I will be passing nearby to the Strabane factory next week. If I can, I will ask at the main desk if they are making it. Their Megastore in Derry is fantastic. I have been wondering for years if they could make decent football shirts as their GAA and Rugby sportswear is of really good quality. Finally, when was the last time we had a shirt made in the UK or even Europe? I think it was Nibor made in Stoke -on-Trent. You'll be lmpressed if it is O'Neill who has the contract. FWIW Umbro is really owned by Iconix of USA. Castore didn't even exist 10 years ago. O'Neills quality is good and well respected in this part of the UK. I really can't understand what the moaning and groaning is really about....unless for some reason, the shirts sent to BS3 are below the standard acceptable in the industry.
  15. According to The Wombles both are free.
  16. Brighton has just bought the Brazilian from Watford for 30m. James Miller in talks as well with Brighton.
  17. Duh! I keep forgetting his son has something to do with this club. As you were!
  18. I thought his name was Adolf Dassler hence Adidas? Therefore, wouldn't it be Stilan?
  19. The album version is better as it's longer!
  20. Better than your normal morning hop!
  21. Has there been a thread on this? I have been chewing on this conundrum for a few days. For me, I have to go back to my Prog days. What a track. What a band. My nomination is... Stationary Traveller by Camel. Here's the excellent live version
  22. I have had the privilege of 2 away games this year. Away to Sunderland (1-1) and away to Stoke (1-2). So I have a good away record this year! Spare a thought for my son who has travelled with me from Northern Ireland. He has never seen his team win in all these years....Stoke City! My 'spare a thought' is always fleeting. It took me several years to persuade him not to fit in with class mates by supporting Man Ure. I think my sheep noises of baa every time he talked football finally worked. As he was born in Stoke, that is why he supports them. I gave up trying to indoctrinate him into BS3 so being a Potter fan is ok by me!
