  1. I made a suggestion, after the debacle last time, which was acknowledged by the streaming site. He said he would refer it to Lisa Knights. In previous years when Adam was in charge, I was able to advise him if we weren't getting a feed. Twice he thanked me and on one occasion the Radio Bristol commentary team had forgotten to switch on the ISDN box for the separate feed to us. If the streaming site kept their word and did indeed inform Ms Knights, then she has no excuse. Aa a former radio broadcaster with plenty of OB technical experience, I know mistakes can happen. However, these mistakes are all too common now and yet nothing is done.
  2. This is the second time this year there has been no feed. When will Lisa Knights or whoever own up to the fact that Listen Live/Robins TV is amateurish and needs a complete overhaul?
  3. Dr Balls knows his wine! He's correct. I too love Primitivo. Always reliable. For Italian whites, I find it is hard to beat Verdicchio dei Castilli di Jesi.
  4. Colsunall 1978. Sunday night. Whirlwind, Matumbi and then Ian Dury and The Blockheads. One of my top gigs of all time. Who else was there? Photos on OTIB of rubbish bins at away grounds. What A Waste.
  5. And now you're quoting the last 2 words from a classic film.. And now you're quoting the last 2 words from a classic film..
  6. Having lived on this island for nearly 20 years I can't see how that font is supposed to be Irish.
  7. I do like you only have to be over 60 for a cheaper ticket. It's 65+ at the Gate.
  8. Yes. We had to sit in the East End to watch it. A few decent sized Cinema screens were placed in front of the first row of seats. Black curtains were in-between the screens so that we could see a better picture from the projectors at the back of the stand. There was a technical issue as there was no audio for several minutes. IIRC, the commentary was provided by Stato from the original Fantasy Football League TV show. There was also a beam back of the Liverpool game which was shown at the Colsunall.
  9. Anything is possible in The Championship. We were even able to change shirt suppliers during this season.
  10. And if there was financial incentives attached, the press would call it City's PayPal.....and then we'd be awarded even more penalties of a different kind!
  11. And we are playing Pep(tac)'s team on Tuesday
  12. Castore must've been considered tinpot by the fans of clubs who have their sportswear. Castore was founded in 2015 and only moved into professional football in 2020. Give O'Neill's a chance.
  13. Purple and Gold away top? Watch on the video.
  14. "Wasn't quite black and white" = grey away kit!
  15. I'm pleased if it is O'Neill The shirts will most probably be made in Strabane, Norn Iron or in Dublin. I will be passing nearby to the Strabane factory next week. If I can, I will ask at the main desk if they are making it. Their Megastore in Derry is fantastic. I have been wondering for years if they could make decent football shirts as their GAA and Rugby sportswear is of really good quality. Finally, when was the last time we had a shirt made in the UK or even Europe? I think it was Nibor made in Stoke -on-Trent. You'll be lmpressed if it is O'Neill who has the contract.
  16. Excellent info. I just phoned one of the pubs as a result. All great. Thanks
  17. Oh To have come up with that pun....mine is a bit subtle!
  18. And one from Norn Iron although my plane us only delayed 20 minutes.
  19. And we were able to record the Sky red button version. Previous games over Christmas were unavailable. This meant we could sync it to Radio Brizz on Robins TV subscription.
  20. Hi Edd, I have used this book. Unfortunately, I can't see a Bernard Smith listed. If Bernard is in fact his preferred name, please let me know his first name. I can then find out more info for you. I enclose the page for Smith in case that helps.
