Well done Worthing into final
One more step and we go into National Conference, and that would be two promotions in two seasons.
Hope City scouts are looking at Ollie Pearce. Hear Brighton might be interested
40 goals in 44 games.
Bet our lot haven’t even got him on the radar. Has to be a better bet than Murphy surely.

Just thought we should acknowledge what he has done for City, both on the pitch and off it, as mentor to younger players.
So pleased LM gave him a, I guess, last appearance at Ashton Gate.
He supported us as a kid and served us well in his twilight years as a player.
Just the sort of player many of us value.
Well done, and thanks.

We still desperate for two strikers to hit 30 between them.

A very astute piece of work by City in January.
Certainly first team ready. Wish we could say that more often instead of ‘one for the future’

A season or so back Otib was aflame with views saying referees were not giving City penalties, and some hinted at dark acts.
This season, to date, only Leicester have had more penalties than us.
Given the dubious nature of Saturday’s penalty I am deafened by the silence

On Sky looked like lots of gaps among the fans, is that the reality?

Just the three goals away at the Bernabau then.
That’s why we love football. Even tho Real have come back to make it 3-3.
Perhaps Manning, with a decent striker, will get us scoring three a game. Perhaps

Even better now. I claim an assist! 3-2 to Man City
-
Well I managed to get my message across !?! 2-2
-
Is it just me but are Man City playing manningball? So frustrating, all the passing and no end product

Firstly, great match day thread as always!
Secondly, now you’ve started it.. Szmodics has 29 goals this season.
That’s more than double what our two strikers have scored between them

None of those still in the game.
We have to go forward.
We need to unearth new stars to take us up
-
Not looking forward to summer transfers because
1. BT will have too big a say, and Manning is inexperienced at this level
2. We need a squad with greater depth, and can’t see that happening from what has been said
3. Not impressed with last window, ie Stokes and Murphy, and, of course, Mebude

Whether Benarous can begin where he left off AND kick on from there is, imo, a very open question
-
According to Manning, he meets with BT daily, and shortly they will make a decision on James and Williams.
This tells us why we need a manager so as the final decision rests with Manning.
The worrying comment is about wages. If we let these two leave because they are too expensive it doesn’t fill me with confidence that those we bring in will be of an acceptable Championship standard.
If the club argue they will bring in players who will improve the team, then we still need those two in the squad. Moreover our January permanent signings do not feel like improvements.

Well that’s a interesting question!

We need a charismatic manager before we can hope realistically for promotion

After that performance on Friday, Plymouth SHOULD be there for the taking. A fanbase that are as frustrated as ours, we are off the back of the best result possible and best performance for three months imo, they threw a lead away on Saturday and know they could be in the bottom three if we turn them over.
This is where Liam earns his coin. Follow up a great performance and result with one people would EXPECT in the next game. The minimum expectation has to be a point. Bear in mind Plymouth will not go gung-ho and won’t dominate like a Southampton or Leicester so this is a test for Liam.
Minimum expectation to lay the demons at rest is surely a win

You heard it here first - James will be the manager to take us to Prem !

Weird response. Seems you have little idea about doing the morally right thing
Three cheers for LM. Gone up in my estimation. Fantastic gesture.
