  1. I've always believed it and nothing they say or do suggest othersise, they are the worst fans anywhere.
  2. It's 1 game under a coach who arrived 4 days ago and has taken 2 or 3 training sessions that's what a sensible person without an agenda would conclude.sadly this forum is lacking that type so it's no surprise to see the ridiculous comments posted on here.
  3. Give it a rest and move on they obviously didn't have confidence in Nigel Pearson to progress the team beyond mid-table and given the performances and results over the last 3 years that's not an outlandish conclusion.
  4. I think he had a budget higher than a lot of teams in the division
  5. The performance against Leicester this season was shocking like frightened little boys. The facts are City finished 17th & 14th under Nigel Pearson the football was mediocre most of the time and given the way the team have played agaiin so far(even without the injuries) this seaon the likelihood would have been a similiar league finish.I wish him well but the e reaction over the last week is simply ridiculous and is not IMO about Nigel Pearson particularly as the reality does not suggest the last 3 years was anything but mediocre the perfect word to describe Nigel's tenure.
  6. The home form has been pretty dreadful and we seldom compete against the teams at the top be it Leicester this season or Burnley last season the tactic is park the bus and keep the score down.We do not and haven't looked like a team that are genuinely going to be in and around the top 6 during the last 3 years.
  7. Progression? The performances by and large and certainly the results have been mediocre for 3 years.
  8. So they couldn't have been all that enamoured with what they were watching during his tenure. Absolutely bizarre reaction over the last week.
  9. Get over it Pearson's gone; today is just about on average what we've seen over the last almost 3 years. Wasn't great was it
  10. Alex Scott was in the team for the last two seasons finished 17th and 14th currently 15th not too much difference.
  11. From many of the comments on here over the last 48 Hrs you would think the club were replacing Sir Alex Ferguson let's get real it wasn't a catastrophe under Nigel Pearson but it was far from great mediocre would best describe the last almost 3 years.
  12. In 20/21 you may recall the stadium was closed to the public therefore any revenue was severely reduced but the salaries which you would estimate run into £millions each month and the operating costs still have to be paid that may explain why the loses have ben so high quite logical really
  13. In fact it was around £500,000 a week in 20/21 and who is it that funds that loss?
  14. I've been following Bristol City since 1990 but unlike you I have no agenda I just support the club but I can acknowledge that the positive things the current ownership have done far outweigh the negative like bankrolling a business than loses £300,000 a week.
  15. Very intelligent comment sir
  16. Yes the club did receive in relative terms a good revenue from transfer fees and only as yet a small percentage has been made available but those players (I assume you're alluding to Semenyo and Scott) were also here playing in teams that struggled to go beyond mid table. I was never a Pearson out at any stage but It just wasn't anything great, and there's been an obvious agenda pursued by some to attack the Lansdowns' at every opportunity and this is just another stick to beat them with rather than as I previosly said lamenting the departure of a manager whose achievements at the club over almost 3 years were very modest.
  17. I like Nigel Pearson and was surprised when I heard he had been sacked and thought he was unfortunate with injuries but let's not pretend his tenure was fantastic full of scintillating exciting football some of the games were absolute dross and the home form was pretty poor in general. I suspect it's more to do with a bizarre extreme hatred some have developed for Steve and Jon Lansdown rather than lamenting the departure of a manager with a very modest 32.6% win ratio.
  18. Football fans are very fickle if the new manager or head coach wins games and the football is good we'll all forget about Nigel Pearson he won't be an elephant or anything else in the room.
  19. Anyone without an agenda and a modicum of common sense will agree. Some of the posters on here I despair!!
  20. I have heard Man City will be without 8 or 9 first choice players through injury for their next match and will have to include a lot of inexperienced youth players in the matchday squad, that owner has a lot to answer for time he left isn't it.
  21. Yes Lansdown should be ashamed how did he not forsee around 10 players being injured at the same time should have paid for a first team squad of 60 players for such an eventuality.
