  1. Football Focus is a microcosm of the BBC a bland insipid box ticking load of rubbish which is long overdue to be culled. If it was any good the organisation wouldn't fear a subscription model but they know it would be bankrupt and closed down within 12 months.
  2. City are as good or if not better than 75% of teams in this division not far off the level needed at all, How many teams are going to outplay Leicester this season especially at their ground? I suspect it's less than 1.
  3. That's my view if you don't agree I won't lose too much sleep over it. Although I would have composed a response a little more intelligent than yours ,Jesus Wept REALLY!
  4. Every club sells players if the fee is right, when everyone is fit City are top 8 so hardly pie in the sky. listen to or read the extracts of the interview firstly the Scott money isn't the whole amount up front and the anticipated revenue from the potentiel sale was used to fund the 4 and later 5 new signings this transfer window at a cost of £4-5 million if you ever ran a business you would value a prudent business model also the current model is the reason why City have one of the best academy set ups in the country regularly supplying the first team with players (and some damn good players).
  5. Really don't know why some are so disenchanted with how Bristol City is run the club is stable absolutely no real chance of bankruptcy and going out of business(how would they like no club to support) the only debt it seems is to Steve Lansdown who's unlikely ever to call it in, excellent facilities an academy set up which actually produces players capable of performing well in the Championship and beyond.a good manager who probably isn't on minimum wage and a squad consisting of some good players some very good. Personally I want things to continue with Steve Lansdown a decent guy who has done so much for the club it's staggering that some don't appreciate and acknowledge that. I'd rather be in the Championship or reach the next level following a prudent business model than someone taking over who spends large sums on overrated overpaid largely foreign players who only come for the money which will change forever the culture and feel of the club in a desperate pursuit of the alleged Premier league (which is boring)dream.
  6. Why the hell do you think City will be relegated?
  7. There's absolutely every need all they ever do is moan whinge slag off the manager the players the owner who has bankrolled the club for years. Even when the team plays well and wins it's always "yeah we won but". And what are you on about the events of the past week so we didn't add to the 5 players signed this transfer window so what it leaves the club with a good squad of players some actually more than good. And if the club did sign an additional 4 players or so in the last week you can guarantee that in about 6 weeks at least half of them will be deemed a load of crap league 1 standard and those people will want another half a dozen brought in during January or it wll be "the club has no ambition" rinse and repeat.
  8. Something different about this week was there to justify all the doom and gloom negative *****? at the start of the week City had a good squad of players at the end of the week City have a good squad of players. played 5 league games 1 defeat but if you read this forum you would think it was played 5 lost 5 conceded 50 goals absolute tossers.
  9. Maybe you shouldn't bother anymore then must be something else to do today?
  10. He may well have done what does it matter I read it and thought good news fully deserved with the performances over the last 12 months you however have to be negative , regarding what the club think of the fans it's probably something like they're so bloody miserable and negative about everything why the hell do they bother with it.
  11. I know it's very difficult it seems for some of you not to be exremely negative but you could take it that he's just happened to sign a new deal today and there's nothing else to it. Try it it might cheer you up.
  12. There's always negative feelings around with the club seemingly attracting some of the most miserable and depressing people in society.
  13. Why is it poor? City have signed 5 players this window how many teams sign more than that each window. Roberts Dickie & Knight are all good players the injuries to Mccrorie and Conway plus the sale of Scott (which was inevitable so why the meltdown) has grossly distorted the view on this window as only a few weeks ago most people were very happy with the transfer business done up to that point.
  14. Absolutely agree with your post how anyone cannot recognise and appreciate all Steve Lansdown has down for the club is unfathomable but then again Bristol City do have some of the worst moaning whinging so called supporters of any football club in the country perhaps the whole world. If city did make it to the Premier league 6 months after the celebrations and the team near the bottom the same people will be calling for the manager to be sacked and the players all a load of crap you can absolutely guarantee it.
  15. I don't think the fact the current ownership of Bristol City are from the local area is valued enough by those who live or originate from that same area, it used to be the norm now sadly it's very rare for an English football club. As I previously posted he won't be appreciated until he's gone many on this forum it seems won't care who takes over the club or how they've acquired their fortune or how the club is run probably accept a blue home shirt if it meant Premier league football but how the club will be will make it superficial and meaningless.
  16. Given the natutre of your previous posts you're never going to recognise and appreciate what Steve Lansdown has done for Bristol City. Perhaps you will get your wish soon there must be a foreign businessman with a questionable background(to say the least ) out there or maybe an Arab guy from one of those lovely Middle Eastern utopias waiting in the wings to take over the club, Why does the idiom be careful what you wish seem appropriate?.
  17. To be replaced by some dodgy foreign owner no doubt, what could possibly go wrong? I suspect Steve Lansdown won't be appreciated until he's gone although there are some like myself who have the good sense to highly value his contribution.to the club and hope it contiues.
  18. I hardly doubt that would finance a stadium rebuild and state of the art training facilities not to mention the many millions spent on transfer fees and wages which can all be directly attributed to Steve Lansdown's investment.Without the aforementioned Mr Lansdown you and a few other's on this forum wouldn't be constantly moaning and whinging about a Championship club It's debarable whether there would be a club at all.
  19. We eagerly await your financial contribution to the club
  20. Can we stop with this false accusation that the squad is thin the first team squad has 25 players( average number for a Championship side) backed up by a number of players from one of the best and most productive academies in the country. The club has endured great misfortune regarding injuries but it would not be sustainable to have around 45 first team players many being paid and never actually playing just to provide cover for any potential absentees.
  21. You don't send a player out on loan that spent the whole of last season in the first team squad playing a good number of games and scoring a few goals, and started every game this season it would be absolutely soul destroying for him and would not benefit him or the club in anyway whatsoever. If he's deemed not good enough finding a buyer and selling him on would be the preferred approach.
