  1. Yes given your negative outlook you should give up there must be something in life that makes you happy because it sure isn't following Bristol City.
  2. Including the 4 already signed earlier that's 6 this transfer window you can't just keep on signing players unless you think there should be 70 players in the 1st team squad.
  3. An 84th minute winner would indeed be painful however, as I don't really care once a player has left the club Joe Bryan scoring it wouldn't mean anything more than their other players. And just for the record I'm a lot more optimistic than a lot of people on this forum and believe City have better players than at least 75% of the teams in the Championship and will win today.
  4. Knight will score far more goals and get more assists than Alex Scott did so that is an improvement; he doesn't at this time effect the game enough consistently and the stats of 1 goal and 2 or 3 assists clearly suggest that £25 million is ourstanding business.
  5. Why do you care who he signs for once he's not in a City shirt wish him well but not really bothered after that £20+ for a player the club paid nothing for very good business
  6. It's one game the first game of the season,If they win at Millwall next Saturday will that be a step forward. you cannot make a judgement over 1 or 2 games certainly at the start unless of course you're a Bristol City fan.
  7. There were plenty of performances with both Semenyo and Scott in the team that were less than brilliant and those two did absolutely nothing and the usual people on here slated the team and manager and suggested "it's gonna be a long hard seaon", perhaps one day you guys won't overreact so much on one performance certainly not the first game of the season but that's probably a forlorn hope. QPR and Port Vale should forfeit the rest of their league fixtures because they're relegated already according to the OTIB forum or maybe there's not a team in the history of football who have been outstanding in evey game they've played and most of us know that they'll be some bad performances this season like every other.
  8. I think really he doesn't affect games consistently enough probably due to his age for his departure to be lamented that much as I said if City can find someone( maybe it will be Jason Knight) who scores goals from midfield something the team has lacked for a long time we'll not miss him very much, and £ 25 million is exceptional business for the club.
  9. For all his undoubted technical ability the stats of 1 league goal and a handful of assists is hardly impressive and irreplaceable if City get someone in midfield who scores goals the current Alex Scott not the potential Alex Scott won't be missed too much.
  10. I agree my prediction for this season is City will finish between 4th and 8th and regarding Sky coverage(does anyone still subscribe) the less the better so there are more games at 3pm on Saturday as it should be.
  11. Absolutely nothing to do with Brexit Americans & others of course were buying clubs in England long before i.e the Glazers, It's ubiquitous globalisation which has ****ed up every country in the Western world. I deliberately refer to them as clubs in England rather than English clubs as the Premier league which is claimed to be the best league in the world has long been an International league based in England with clubs which are more like corporations and brands with a tenuous at best(only SOME of the fans) connection to England.Ideally for me the Lansdown's keep the club for decades to come alas I know that's not going to happen and it's only a matter of time before I walk away and become primarily a Weston-Super-Mare fan and City will gradually lose it's appeal and importance to me as it will inevitably be a soulless money making entity more concerned with tv rights and merchandise & chasing overseas supporters like so many others which are in foreign ownership. The phrase be careful what you wish for is very apt for City fans it may not be all you hoped it would be.
  12. Global successes yes but English football's top division evolved into an International league based in England which is soulless anything global is largely corporate and meaningless. For instance competing in European competitions with foreign management and largely foreign players will never be the same as with British players as a fan you're seeing nothing different than you see week in week out it was a real different experience to see foreign teams come to play. When you watch a world cup and the majority of the Brazil squad play in England it's not going to be as exciting is it. Italia 90 did indeed start the changes in football that ensued, from a commercial financial infrastructural point of view it's been unqualified success however we've lost truly domestic football at the top level many younger supporters of course know no different but some of us can sometimes view it a little wistfully.
  13. Yes bare bones and we're 13th in the table 13 pts and a much better goal diference from the bottom 3 with potentially a lot of money to improve the squad next season so the extreme negativity and constant criticism and moaning on this forum is quite ridiculous and as I previouly said I really don't know why some(in fact it's quite a lot) actually bother following City If it made me so miserable I certainly wouldn't.
  14. Does watching City ever bring you any joy ? pack it in and do something else because it sure isn't making you happy and that goes for many of the other miserable moaning f*****s on here.
  15. Probably because we're not world beaters but a mid table championship side .
  16. Hopefully so never really rated Weimann one good season the rest of the time running around with no end product and lacks awareness of his team mates positions so creates very little and in generall is a bit of a wild finisher.OK to bring on with 20 mins or so to go when the opposition may be tiring but not a starter there are better options in the squad.Too soon to judge Cornick.
  17. Does he really have ro leave this summer he's only 19 he could stay for another two seasons and not only be guranteed to play every week but be the focal point of the team(will he get that in the PL) and still be a very young player when he does move on for a big fee and contract.
  18. If his performances were anywhere near as good as some incredulously think it wouldn't matter about his contract situation Pearson would play him every week. He's been 4 out of 10 on average throughout his time at City so hardly irreplaceable or first name on the team sheet and is no real loss to the match day squad and needs to move on.
  19. Needs to be sold in fact should have been sold in the summer. A player who may potentially be consistently good is not what City require right now. Too many games he offers little need to cash in and strengthen in right areas.
