Williams and Massengo therein lies the problem, 2 players just like so many others at the club who are simply just not good enough if City want to compete throughout a whole season at the top of the Championship with a chance of promotion which judging by the reaction of a lot of people on this forum to City conceding a goal let alone losing a game seems to be what they expect. The reality is without new players of a higher calibre that is just not happening regardless of who is picking the team.

Who is consistently good in this squad? Nobody I can think of, the squad is bang average at best having said that I agree Pearson's time is up but whoever takes over needs to have some money to change the personnel as much as possible because this lot are simply not good enough.

I doubt whether Pearson will be sacked but I will be surprised if he doesn't resign in the next few weeks. No money to spend and has worked with this group which is a low end championship squad for some time and must conclude there's no more he can do to improve them.

It's just my opinion I've watched every World cup since 1978 attending some games in USA and France and this for me is the poorest one I've seen but if you've enjoyed it fair enough. I guess when you've seen Brazil 82 and Maradona in 86 you can set the bar a little too high.

This is without any exception the worst the poorest World cup in living memory the standard of football has been absolutely atrocious they're going to have a real challenge putting a montage of highlights of this rubbish together, club football is so much better and more interesting than the dross served up at these International tournaments maybe make them every 10 years now.

Yes his record is impressive at first glance but he's only achieved that by virtue of having the easiest routes to the latter stages since England first entered an International tournament. Every qualifying group is effectively a bye into the tournament and a chance for the strikers to rack up the goals, very easy 1st round groups and for the 3rd time under his tenure England probably won't meet a team who could possibly win the tournament until at least the semi-final.This England squad is not one of best we've had their record is very misleading, As Napoleon i think once said I'd rather have a lucky general than a good general.

He should have been sold in the summer along with Alex Scott to generate rhe funds to recruit the players needed but the City fans (the worst in the country) would have gone into meltdown.Never happy with anything.

Overrated most of them, poor defence no creativity in Central midfield and a striker whose goals have mainly come against weak opposition(easy qualifying groups) and via penalties. England are an average side nothing more.
