Tommy has also missed a number of chances this season I view him as a decent enough Championship striker but will never score 20 plus goals a season. The club has stated many times they are looking to bring in a No 9 in the summer so if he stays I don't think he will be first choice up front anyway. wish him well if he leaves but won't be overly disappointed .

Not trying to rewrite history, yes there were some poor performances but there were also some good ones too that were conveniently overlooked. wanting a manager out after just 3 of 4 months is just plain ridiculous in my opinion whether I backed the previous incumbent or not.
-
Steady on you sound way too positive you must find a negative somewhere.
-
Why exactly did you think after the West Brom game his time was over? he'd only been at the club for about 3 months. Prior to that poor sequence of results over 5 or 6 games were 2 impressive performances against Premier league Nottingham Forest and 3 straight wins culminating in a very good performance against Southampton. The overreaction to those few games from mid February to mid March was totally unjustified and a little ridiculous as most football fans should know managers need time. The slices of humble pie might be quite sizeable.

Max Bird Signed (& loaned back to Derby) - CONFIRMED
ORANGE500 replied to Finley_Smith10's topic in Football Chat
City sign a player and you suggest the player would want to cancel the deal to play for another club, no melt(to use your term) not remotely anti city at all is it. I watched the clip and thought looks like a good player for next season but you had to view it negatively just sums up your attitude towards the club as I said go away and do something else you won't be missed. -

Several good performances against the better sides in the division has gone unnoticed by some but most of us can see very encouraging signs under this manager and with the likely additions in the summer particularly up front next season could and probably will be spent in and around the top 6. -
Yet again? the first goal conceded in 5 games so haven't started playing after going behind too much of late have they.

Some people it seems have continuously got to find new sticks in which to beat the ownership and Liam Manning with.Would never consider that just perhaps this group has been thoroughly assessed and at present very few if any are of the required standard. Who but those with the same tired agenda could possibly think if City had a brilliant player in the academy he wouldn't be fast tracked into the first team of course he would..

75 games in the championship 17 goals( quite a few penalties included) under 2 different managers would suggest that he is exactly what he looks very average. I expect the forward line and also the midfield will look somewhat different in August and won't include Tommy Conway, I would sell for as much as possible which ids probably a couple of million at best.

I have to disagree with you that the teams in the list above all have some very good players the standard of international teams has never been lower for instance Italy once had the quality of Baggio and Vieri up front and the Dutch Van Basten and Bergkamp kind of sums it up really .
-
It's very difficult to accurately assess just how good Southgate's England really are, the qualifiers have become a formality due to the poor quality of opposition you could imagine England book the tournament HQ as soon as the draw for the groups has been concluded. And the very favourable routes to the latter stages in 2018 and the subsequent Euro's has perhaps led to an over estimation of this current group and some now expect England should be winning every game against any opposition when in reality they probably aren't any better than previous eras or maybe not even as good. However most of the traditionally strong nations in Europe and indeed the world i.e Germany Holland even Brazil are at their lowest ebb so maybe football will come home this summer but in my opinion it won't be because it's the best England team ever rather a lack of good sides in the tournament.

I agree it's inconsistent and unpredictable but good performances aren't that rare, the last 6 games have included Southampton and Ipswich a performance that merited at least 1 point and probably all 3. it's nowhere near as bad as you would think based on the views of OTIB members who just want to find a way to be negative about the club and certain personnel. -

I think city will score 3 today hopefully a couple from Conway as apert from the Rotherham game he hasn't really shown much this seson so far. -
Then why keep going over it again and again. Who really cares in fact one person I highly doubt gives a stuff whether his photo is included or not and that's Nigel Pearson he's probably moved on like some on this forum should.

Wow there is somebody else who has noticed thet City are playing some decent stuff but sadly are constantly missing chances which are being created far more than previously, every game the shots on goal are in double figures if we had taken just half of those chances Southampton Norwich and Blackburn would not have been losses. Things are not remotely as grim as some would like to suggest or dare I say want them to be. -

Needs to have the other 2/3's cut and let it sink. Going to ASDA later but happy to pay Tesco and Sainsbury's etc as well because i'm using the services of a grocery store so must pay for them as well completely fair and just.Trying to think of anything else you don't use but still have to pay for or more accurately forced to pay for. -

They are the most fickle and negative fans anywhere. One person has just posted( and there are many more similat posts as you've probably seen)we've got no attack so the defence will have to keep us from avoiding relegation. That's after 1 game under a new manager and about a month ago after Rotherham they were regarding Tommy Conway as the next Alan Shearer. As I said the worst sometimes wonder why they bother.
