  1. I've been following Bristol City since 1990 but unlike you I have no agenda I just support the club but I can acknowledge that the positive things the current ownership have done far outweigh the negative like bankrolling a business than loses £300,000 a week.
  2. Very intelligent comment sir
  3. Yes the club did receive in relative terms a good revenue from transfer fees and only as yet a small percentage has been made available but those players (I assume you're alluding to Semenyo and Scott) were also here playing in teams that struggled to go beyond mid table. I was never a Pearson out at any stage but It just wasn't anything great, and there's been an obvious agenda pursued by some to attack the Lansdowns' at every opportunity and this is just another stick to beat them with rather than as I previosly said lamenting the departure of a manager whose achievements at the club over almost 3 years were very modest.
  4. I like Nigel Pearson and was surprised when I heard he had been sacked and thought he was unfortunate with injuries but let's not pretend his tenure was fantastic full of scintillating exciting football some of the games were absolute dross and the home form was pretty poor in general. I suspect it's more to do with a bizarre extreme hatred some have developed for Steve and Jon Lansdown rather than lamenting the departure of a manager with a very modest 32.6% win ratio.
  5. Football fans are very fickle if the new manager or head coach wins games and the football is good we'll all forget about Nigel Pearson he won't be an elephant or anything else in the room.
  6. Anyone without an agenda and a modicum of common sense will agree. Some of the posters on here I despair!!
  7. I have heard Man City will be without 8 or 9 first choice players through injury for their next match and will have to include a lot of inexperienced youth players in the matchday squad, that owner has a lot to answer for time he left isn't it.
  8. Yes Lansdown should be ashamed how did he not forsee around 10 players being injured at the same time should have paid for a first team squad of 60 players for such an eventuality.
  9. Football Focus is a microcosm of the BBC a bland insipid box ticking load of rubbish which is long overdue to be culled. If it was any good the organisation wouldn't fear a subscription model but they know it would be bankrupt and closed down within 12 months.
  10. City are as good or if not better than 75% of teams in this division not far off the level needed at all, How many teams are going to outplay Leicester this season especially at their ground? I suspect it's less than 1.
  11. That's my view if you don't agree I won't lose too much sleep over it. Although I would have composed a response a little more intelligent than yours ,Jesus Wept REALLY!
  12. Every club sells players if the fee is right, when everyone is fit City are top 8 so hardly pie in the sky. listen to or read the extracts of the interview firstly the Scott money isn't the whole amount up front and the anticipated revenue from the potentiel sale was used to fund the 4 and later 5 new signings this transfer window at a cost of £4-5 million if you ever ran a business you would value a prudent business model also the current model is the reason why City have one of the best academy set ups in the country regularly supplying the first team with players (and some damn good players).
  13. Really don't know why some are so disenchanted with how Bristol City is run the club is stable absolutely no real chance of bankruptcy and going out of business(how would they like no club to support) the only debt it seems is to Steve Lansdown who's unlikely ever to call it in, excellent facilities an academy set up which actually produces players capable of performing well in the Championship and beyond.a good manager who probably isn't on minimum wage and a squad consisting of some good players some very good. Personally I want things to continue with Steve Lansdown a decent guy who has done so much for the club it's staggering that some don't appreciate and acknowledge that. I'd rather be in the Championship or reach the next level following a prudent business model than someone taking over who spends large sums on overrated overpaid largely foreign players who only come for the money which will change forever the culture and feel of the club in a desperate pursuit of the alleged Premier league (which is boring)dream.
  14. Why the hell do you think City will be relegated?
  15. There's absolutely every need all they ever do is moan whinge slag off the manager the players the owner who has bankrolled the club for years. Even when the team plays well and wins it's always "yeah we won but". And what are you on about the events of the past week so we didn't add to the 5 players signed this transfer window so what it leaves the club with a good squad of players some actually more than good. And if the club did sign an additional 4 players or so in the last week you can guarantee that in about 6 weeks at least half of them will be deemed a load of crap league 1 standard and those people will want another half a dozen brought in during January or it wll be "the club has no ambition" rinse and repeat.
  16. Something different about this week was there to justify all the doom and gloom negative *****? at the start of the week City had a good squad of players at the end of the week City have a good squad of players. played 5 league games 1 defeat but if you read this forum you would think it was played 5 lost 5 conceded 50 goals absolute tossers.
  17. Maybe you shouldn't bother anymore then must be something else to do today?
  18. He may well have done what does it matter I read it and thought good news fully deserved with the performances over the last 12 months you however have to be negative , regarding what the club think of the fans it's probably something like they're so bloody miserable and negative about everything why the hell do they bother with it.
  19. I know it's very difficult it seems for some of you not to be exremely negative but you could take it that he's just happened to sign a new deal today and there's nothing else to it. Try it it might cheer you up.
  20. There's always negative feelings around with the club seemingly attracting some of the most miserable and depressing people in society.
  21. Why is it poor? City have signed 5 players this window how many teams sign more than that each window. Roberts Dickie & Knight are all good players the injuries to Mccrorie and Conway plus the sale of Scott (which was inevitable so why the meltdown) has grossly distorted the view on this window as only a few weeks ago most people were very happy with the transfer business done up to that point.
