  1. In theory it's pointless as the outfield player has to A) get there before any opposition players.  And B) the ball is closer to the keeper.  Which means once the element of suprise is gone there is less chance to score than had the penalty taker taken it properly.

Looks good when it works though.

What I like is he's an attacking player who doesn't like players going past him - he has defensive qualities.

Guy gets stuck into senior pros 10 to 15 years older than him. Shows no fear.

He'll develop, I'm sure of it.

I'm willing him to score, I think once he gets going.

Agree, if you watch him, he takes up / tries to take up good defensive positions.  He won’t die thinking about getting into position, he just does it.

I’m big on “recovery runs” and being proactive not reactive.  @Harry is with me in this.  Sykes reacts too late to Naismith’s loopy header that they get possession of and break to score.  Yeboah finds himself at the back post from nowhere.  I think he time-shifts there! ???

I want to see his relative stats for the game he's a running machine.

Maguire has suffered from his move to United. He needs to go somewhere where he’ll play every week, I feel bad for him tonight cos he’s rarely let us down when wearing the 3 Lions.

I agree he needs game time, before he plays for England again!

Yes but the figure of 10 was off the top of my head. I’ve just tried it. Got to 11.  As you might be able to tell, I’m really not a fan of Maguire!

    Stones

    Tomori

    Gueye

    White

    Gomez

    Dunk

    Webster

    Konsa

    Mings

    Colwill

    Kilman

I've always thought Magire was a bit of a **** after the international incident in Mykonos, since then I've kinda thought I'd rather not, and he's not all that good anymore.

You should go on Tenable with Warwick Davis.

I bumped into him once, with his family at Disney (Star Wars weekend was coming up and he’d been invited).  I’d just come off a ride with the kids to see Mrs chatting to him and his wife re mobility equipment.  As we left them, I asked how come she was chatting to Warwick Davis.  She said “oooh, is that him, I thought he looked familiar”!  ?‍♂️

She has form for this.  She did the same with Charlton Heston too! ?

It took a while, but got it eventually.

Is that the same Eddie Howe who some how got a really talented Bournemouth team relegated

    Biggest fraud in English football

    Only in my opinion

That's interesting as I really rate Eddie Howe, he managed to turn a fairly meh Newcastle side around, quite quickly.  Interested as to what you think makes him so bad.

Without an obvious midfielder like Alex Scott that can carry the ball and break the lines, it seem to me that plan at home is for the full backs to press high and attack.  Pring's failure to do this, which he has acknowledged himself, has cost him game time.

Williams' performances alongside Knight are encouraging.  Hopefully, as their confidence grows they will be braver on the ball.  Always good to have Naismith there to find a pass, and if there is space opening up I've been very impressed with Dickie's forward passing.

Setting myself up for some pelters, but if we can execute the plan I feel confident things with improve especially against more forward thinking teams. ?

I still think Ayman Benarous assuming he's not a different player, assuming he's fit and strong certainty showed up well in the games he played.  I am hoping that he's not a different player now as he for me is a good potential answer to the creative problem.

I hope he's well and on his way to recovery.

Much improved compared to Thursday’s performance in Paris where he worked tirelessly off the ball without producing much on it. Here he remained diligent out of possession but also looked more proactive. 7

From one of the Irish papers.  One of only two players they rated at 7.

My only visit to Marakesh was to buy a car

So many historical places have been flattened, always wanted to visit Timbuktu as well but that got ruined by idiots though rather than natural disaster IS and Wagner.

Nice. Never been to Agadir though. Was in Ifrane working so Fez & Meknes were nearby. Casa, Rabat, El Jadida, Mohamedia & Settat were regular haunts as was Tangiers. Just love the country.

Visited a few of those for work as well, only significant place I never went when working there was Marrakesh.

Ouazazate also badly damaged I hear which is also known as Wallywood as it's the heart of the Moroccan movie/film industry.

Heard from one friend in Casablanca so reasonably safe albeit very scared. Even in Casa people are nervous to stay in their homes so it seems.

I worked there for a while back in the late 90's was an amazing place, always meant too go back as a tourist.
