On that game (which I think was 2018) I recall Famara handballing (clearly) to try and blag a hat trick and it being the start of a rather impressive loan spell by Lois Diony.

As a parent, however, what I more remember is that I allowed my then 9 year old daughter to swear as much as she wanted when we were back in the car to let out her frustration. Parenting.

My 5 year old thinks saying piston is a clever way of saying the p word.

Agreed he's done nothing wrong a constant menace you just had that feeling something would happen when he did come on. Good on the boy hope he does get another chance.

Personally I can't see why so much vitiol is being thrown at him. For a just 17 year old he's been excellent when he's come on, however his performances have been ok.  He's certainly not made any howlers or anything to suggest he's a liability.

You weren’t born yet in 2010?!?!

Nicky Hunt left a scar so deep, and that Dickie Forster boy cest terrible the pair of them.   The scars are in black and white mind you as that's what we had to watch it in back then.

  5. Jesus, leave Yaboah alone, he's got masses of potential he doesn't have to be the finished product for another 6 years or more.  He's come on as a sub looked ok, he's got obvious pace, he's incredibly physical for a boy, and given time I'm sure he'll be a great asset.

Playing Brighton, Villa and West Ham back to back in a few weeks in the new year

We really need at least 4 points from those games

Villa are an odd one for me, last season top scorer is with them.  But West Ham and Brighton are games we should be looking to get some points from.

Onana for his build from the back when Inter Milan reached the CL final certainly wasn't poor.

Maybe Man United drag people down a bit, who knows.

Inter have cruised their group joint top incidentally.

Man Utd, where good players go to become shit.

Clubs don't pay the EFL clubs directly do they?

This seems a bit of a cop out. "We've overspent so have to borrow money but if EFL clubs didn't get a share we wouldn't have to borrow money" is how I interpret this.

AHH it's interesting that they mention the WSL as that's moving away from FA to Club ownership the funding for that's being discussed as well.  Maybe they'll use that as some sort of chip in the process.

Yes VAR can take a look at the headbutt because it was a clear and obvious error for the ref to only issue a yellow for it when it should have been red.

Var can't get involved in yellow card decisions unless it could be a red.

Yes, but it was a soft headbutt. 🤣

For years now even a brush with the head has been enough for a red, it's been zero tolerance I would be surprised if there is no retrospective red.  Where this nonsense of it's a soft headbutt comes from I don't know.  Maybe it's because the wolves player didn't jump up and onto the floor with his face in his hands?

  10. I think they've ****** up the rules of the game in a quest for perfection.

    • The flow is gone.
    • The decisions are still questionable.
    • The offside lines are mathematically questionable.

It needs fixing as it's a joke, as it is.  Slow disjointed and often wrong, at least the injustice at this level is because the ref is just shit.

    It's an interesting read

  11. I think we need to think about it as a new season from mid December and then revisit the thinking here.  It's just a hard one we've had a horrible set of injuries, a change of manager, and now we're into a run of transitional games under the new manager.

I think it's very unfair to judge any players to harshly given the season we've had.
