  1. Nice that AA has affection for Bristol City but given his age I don’t think he’d be a serious consideration even if he played for free.

I used to see him in Long Ashton so guess he might still have property in the village. He was very humble and a little embarrassed when I recognised and spoke to him. He’s a really pleasant guy.

Another display above his years to win tonight, some player Littler.

He’s certainly a bit special. His board management is amazing, so quick it’s almost instinctive.

Imagine the Power in his prime against this kid…….……:boxing:

  3. That was the most enjoyable presser that I’ve seen from Manning. He seemed very relaxed and in a good place - possibly because it’s the last game and pressure isn’t so great.

A little disappointed that he didn’t ‘big up’ Williams tho. JW has been excellent and very influential in the engine room. I wanted Manning to say that he’d like to keep him but wasn’t forthcoming.

What do we get for Tommy realistically? £7M? Can’t see much more with 12 months left.

Nowhere near £7m - not even half that.

I can see too many weaknesses in Conways game and if I can see them so can potential buyers. I’d be as amazed as I was when Villa paid  £15m for Kodjia if another decent English club offered £3m

  6. Blimey those images take me down memory lane but the EE always seemed much fuller back then. It got so packed  that it was a struggle to move anywhere.
We used to try and stand at the back where it was easier to go for a piss.

  7. I’ve had difficulty with the WiFi at AG for years and years. I’ve tried changing phones but it’s made no difference. It’s irritating that those around me don’t seem to have the same difficulties.

Its worse at half time when every other bugger is catching up with ht scores nationwide.

Not being technically gifted I’m assuming that it’s a problem with the way my iPhone is set up………:dunno:

Prepare to be surprised. We just need someone to leak that Rangers are preparing a £2.5M bid, that gets Celtic involved. Lower ranking EPL clubs then sh1t themselves and someone ends up bidding £5M, and get a bargain.

Wishful thinking Sleepy. However the SPL would be a perfect destination should Conway move on. He’d be up against decent defenders around 4 games a season, get to play in Europe - what’s not to like?

Unless the new proposed number 9 is if a definite next level calibre I find this talk of selling, let alone bumping Conway down the pecking order a bit bizarre.

We have a striker of some promise age 21, becoming 22 jn August, yes several penalties this season but double figures in his first 2 full seasons, some assists too.

Clearly if we get silly money, or even an acceptable bid and he won't sign we have to consider but the idea of bumping him down the pecking order I don't get.

‘Some promise’ is about right. TC is learning his game and maturing all the while. I’d be genuinely surprised if a bid of over £2m came in for him.

If City do bring in a decent CF and Manning plays two up top then I can see that benefitting Conway. Having  another striker alongside would provide more goal poaching opportunities and develop him into a better striker.

I only froze the frame at point of contact…which there was.

Are you suggesting that the contact caused TC’s right leg towards his left, therefore tripping himself (albeit caused by the keeper).

Certainly gives more credence to the penalty doesn’t it?

It proves that Conway had lost control of the ball. The keeper badly messed up as the ball was going out of play.

Not quite as we still have to play Quins last at the Stoop. It's going to be tight.

The Bears are on a roll having hammered Northampton and Newcastle. Wonderful comeback at Leicester ever since Pat Lam was ‘advised’ by SL to go back to playing ‘the Bears way’. The pep talk certainly worked!

I quite fancy the Bears to win at the Stoop.

    Just cancel Sky. Period.

    You won’t miss it.

To make it worthwhile, you need to watch 3-4 games of football a week.

    Who has time for that?

    Speak for yourself DaveSA.

Yeah Sky Sports is expensive but being retired I have plenty of time to get what I consider value for money. It’s not only football that I enjoy either.

As a huge cricket fan Sky’s coverage is fantastic showing every test match, many of the IPL games and England ODI’s and inter county one day competitions and T20s (not that I watch much T20 unless Somerset are playing)

Premier League PDC darts including all the slams. No way would I consider cancelling it.

Our midfield looks promising , the big bit now is the No.10 .
    As it stands we have ;
    Bird , Knight , TGH , Stokes , Murphy , Williams? James?

Defence when all fit looks decent too.

Striker one short as it is, 2 if Conway goes .

Hopefully Williams will be offered a new deal and that Twine is signed but as per usual none of us are truly ITK on City’s fiscal matters.
As for Stokes and Murphy - we’ve seen before that the step up can be too big for some so only time will tell if they’ll have Championship quality.

Conway has refused to sign a new deal which suggests that he wants to move and BT reckons that a decent CF is in the offing. This summer will be like a child waiting for Xmas day for many of us. Hopefully any business is done early so we can all sleep without the exciting anticipation………:)

Tell us you don't follow the team without telling us you don't follow the team 😂

The only time I watch women’s football is when the England ladies are on TV.

I have never ever watched a women’s match ‘live’. However due the exposure our ladies get on the OS and local bulletins their results are kinda forced onto me.

I honestly couldn’t name one player from the women’s team.

That’s his two daughter’s shirts. It says “one last time” underneath

I guess it could mean that he’s played his last professional game or that he’s moving away. My hope is that he’s staying on Mannings coaching team - he has a great deal to offer.

Don’t think he’s staying. His wife posted this yesterday on her instagram

I don’t get why two shirts means that he’s not staying. I can only guess that they’re being put away as he’s no longer playing.

100% & I thought it reflected really well on Manning that he gave him what is certainly his last appearance at Ashton Gate.

We’ve signed a number of veterans in the past, Jody Morris & Chris Brunt spring to mind & ended up with them on the wage bill yet not contributing.

King has been in every match day squad since the start of the year, has filled in at the back on occasion without ever letting us down & I’ll bet he’s on the lowest wages he’s earned for a number of years.

When you consider he arrived after a strange spell in Belgium where he didn’t play & was already approaching 33, he’s done himself & us proud.

Love to see him stay on as part of the coaching staff, we’ll find out if he does over the next fortnight or so.

Well said Graham - Andy King has been a terrific player all through his career and that was reflected when the Foxes came to AG earlier this season and their fans were chanting his name. That’s how much they loved him.

He’d played under Nige at Leicester and they developed great admiration for each other and Nige was the main factor why he joined us.

Andy King is now on Mannings coaching team and who knows maybe he’ll move into management at a later stage
