I have and you are right not to be convinced...

Twine has hardly played - 6 games apparently. Some of those would have been away so those, like me who only watch City at AG these days have seen him around three times and with him not being fully match sharpe. Its way early to start drawing conclusions about what he offers.

Anyway I doubt that he’ll be at City next season.

I get the impression that doesn't give two shits anymore.

SL is 70, pretty much retired and has passed the baton down to JL. Neither SL or his lad know much about the beautiful  game, hence the promotion of BT who being a former professional does understand the complexities of the game.

As far as SL goes - I hope he really gets to enjoy his retirement. He’s a billionaire and that give him and Maggie the freedom to do whatever they want.

I watch very little PL these days, but try to consume as much EFL as possible.

I watch plenty of PL football - yesterday I watched both Liverpool and Arsenal lose and that opens the door for Man City……..and I’ll probably watch Chelsea v Everton this evening even tho neither club interest me that much.

I also watched the Foxes lose at Argyle. That said when it comes to the Championship I’ll only watch if one of the teams are in with a shout of promotion.

  4. People leaving early has always happened. It was at its worst before the Dolman was redeveloped when exits were in opposite ends and became a bottleneck. Fans would start heading down to ‘avoid the rush’ often several mins before full time.

The chap who sits next me in the Lansdown heads off a few mins early and down to the concourse where he watches the rest of the match on the TVs for exactly the same reason.

Brian  Clough said that if too much football was shown on TV, the public would lose their appetite for going to games. He, like many others was content for two games Sat night with ITV showing some on Sun afternoon.

Clough has been gone over 20 years and if anything he was wrong on fans losing interest in football being shown on tv. If anything the opposite has happened.

Like many football fans I love the beautiful game and watch many games both live at AG and also my local amateur team. On top of that I watch plenty of football on Sky and TNT at home so I wouldn’t have a problem if even more games were shown live on tv.

Ah ok, not actually been myself but Mrs Cider went with some friends and raved on about it , I’ll have to try it.

There were unusual items on the menu that I’d never seen on any Indian menu previously - tandoori crab was one, rabbit with qual egg was another, creamy lobster another one - as I said pretentious.

    Alarmingly no mushroom bhaji…………

Not heard of this one but will check it out , The Mint Room is lovely in Clifton and Urban Tandoor at the top of Whiteladies is superb as well .

Been to the Mint Room and wasn’t overly impressed. They were very pretentious I thought.

I’m struggling to remember a negative reaction to a passage of play like that in all the years I’ve been watching.

It has happened at least once before under Manning. On that occasion it was Tanner who at the time was getting flak on here for being ‘negative’.

The negative reaction yesterday may have been because we were losing at the time.

Maybe yesterday was an example of why time wasting isn’t always the best way to go though

Ever since the last WC referees have been adding more mins.. in one match I remember something like 11 added mins, even the commentators were stunned.

Seems to have filtered down throughout the professional game.

A very good point from the Huddersfield forum was that there was only 5 minutes added onto the whole of the 45 minutes of the second half yet also 5 minutes added onto to extra time 5 minutes!

That’s my point - the Huddersfield players were time wasting during the 5 added mins so she added them on - good job she did!

  11. Chatting with my lad midweek he and his partner when to the Nutmeg an Indian restaurant in Clifton Village. He said it was excellent with a great variety of set menu’s to select from.

We’re thinking of going there ourselves - has anyone else been there?

  12. I just perused the Huddersfield forum. Obviously they’re very bitter about the penalty award and complaining about the added time and accusing Rebecca Welch of being the worst referee ever.

What they don’t t seem to realise is that the 5 added mins is a minimum and during that 5 mins their players were time wasting and she simply added it on - that’s good refereeing in my view and boy! I’m glad that she did.

However - we City fans would have reacted in exactly the same had we been on the end of such a decision and reinforces my belief that we football fans are all the same regardless of which club you support.

Six. Watford, Leicester, Plymouth, Sunderland, Blackburn, Huddersfield. I can understand getting it wrong by a game but being 100% out is a bit disturbing..!

And I know that we are undefeated in those six, so I’ll tap my “correlation doesn’t equal causation” sign again.

Three of those matches I didn’t actually see live. That means I’ve seen him play live just three times and stand my opinion that I’ve not seen enough of him yet to form an opinion.

I don’t get why people don’t like it when someone expresses an opinion on a forum?

I guess you weren’t at AG when City put 5 past Blackburn?  Whilst BR were crap City took advantage and played some great stuff.

Today was entirely different. The Terries defended well and City huffed and puffed and just couldn’t break them down - it happens.

I had a feeling Plymouth might get something.

Tricky, Friday night..Championship can always reel you back in- lot of tricky away games.

The Foxes were fairly toothless at Home Park. Vardy had a decent chance second half but his effort was saved - apart from that the Argyle keeper a relatively easy night.

Looks as if Leicester have bottled it. Three 1-0 defeats. Us, Millwall and now Plymouth.
