  1. Not at all - a huge difference between sports and political journalism.
  2. No problem him having having opinion but in his tole as a sports journalist he should keep his opinion about the beautiful game to himself when writing about City - I don’t read the Post for his opion on what set up Nige should employ. I’d be far more interested in what Nige’s thoughts are.
  3. I don’t see it as the locals journalist job to advise any manager on how the team should be set up let alone an established manager like Nige. GmGs role should be to report what’s going on at the the club particularly any player movement, injury updates and the managers views on upcoming matches and recent results. To that he needs to have a reasonable relationship with the manager and by producing ridiculous ratings on him and then ‘advising’ him on how to set up is only going to worsen the relationship. Gregor is shooting himself in the foot.
  4. No…..GmG does tho - on his own. Gregor by trying to take on Nige is cruising for a bruising - if of course Nige read the shite that GmG writes. It’s transparent attempt by GmG to raise his own journalistic kudos by goading a manger with a previously prickly relationship with journalists into another media battle - but Nige is too wise for that. GmG would be well advised to to stick to asking well constructed questions than writing this load of bollocks.
  5. What!? You got the wrong forum. It was Sunderland AFC that were hostile and ignorant when I gave them the heads up about LJ.
  6. Historically the Gas have always had significantly less supporters than City and that’s not likely to change. We know it and they know it so I don’t get why it’s necessary to point out their modest attendances.
  7. Ummm………that’s what I’ve been saying…………….
  8. If you’re at AG at 3pm just look at the team shape at kick off.
  9. Read it again……….. Four defenders, 4 midfielders and two forwards fits a 4-4-2 shape but like all shapes and formations that’ll change throughout the game - I’ll bet that at kick off the line up will be 4-4-2 but within seconds that will change.
  10. It’s all guesswork of course but I think that Simpson will be at RB and Wells up top in place of Scott. The shape of a 4-4-2 - to start with anyway.
  11. Too numerous to list, but fairly recent programs like Game of Thrones, Peaky Blinders and Handmaidens Tale spring to mind. Going back a number of years, I Claudius was brilliant as was comedic programs like The Goode Life, Only Fools and Horses. I’d have no problem watching any repeats of any of the above.
  12. Of course. …... I’m not questioning your right to decline - just curious as to why. My daughter is 36 and has had the Moderna vaccine rather than the Astra Zeneca because of the very minimal risk of blood clots in the under 30s. My pals g’friend has a son who is an anti vaxxer and he got covid and passed it on to his mum who also caught it despite having had her first jab. My buddy had to isolate for 10 days because of it.
  13. Yeah, a straightforward, routine win against mediocre opposition and without 3 or 4 regulars as well.
  14. Surrey would have to collapse for Somerset to win and that’s pretty unlikely. That said, fourth day wicket, Leach bowling well so anything can happen. Surrey just lost their third wicket………..
  15. That was easy peasy. Good to see covid having a silver lining………..
  16. A very thoughtful and very reasonable assessment from Nige. He certainly knows how to oversee and manage a squad of players. He says all the right things from a fans and players perspective and keeps the players keen and enthusiastic to desperately want a place in the matchday squad. To me he’s very different in the way he conducts his interviews to any other City manager that I can remember and that’s very refreshing to see
  17. Good point Tom. That hadn’t occurred to me. Be great if Conway gets his 50.
  18. Yep, just one big hit for his ton.
  19. Well……off to a decent start. Ahead of the run rate.
  20. Good bowling after such a poor start.
  21. They were both at tight angles and he pushed both kicks wide anticipating that the ball would curl inside - it didn’t………..
  22. Very, very disappointing result but Quinn’s staged a remarkable fightback and deserve much credit but the Bears won the PL and it’s such a rip off that RFA introduced the play off system. That said every club know the set up and you won’t hear Pat Lam bemoaning it - it is what Is but how a club that finished below the Bears will named Champions next week is a disgrace Imo.
