His injury was the issue. Not sure how many games he missed but around 12 at a guess.

Looks like a good turn out. I declined to buy a ticket because I saw it as a piss take.

Did anyone stay to watch the Wurzels? I didn’t even stay for the awards.

Just watched the highlights CR and even tho I knew the result it was still thrilling to watch. Thackers break leading to the third try was terrific. My buddy is a die hard Bears fan and watched the game on TNT 5 which is the equivalent to the red button I believe. He was obviously well chuffed!

When trying to round the keeper his heavy touch saw the ball overrun - he was lucky that the keeper brought him down. Had that not happened Conway would have missed yet another one on one. Take a look at the highlights to see what I’m saying.

And Mo Eisa, Jon Akinde and believe it or not so did Sammy Szmodics by his own admission and look what player he turned out to become.

Thorpe scored 51 goals in 128 games for City. He was poor man’s Jimmy Greaves - done bugger all game but scored a goal or two……….I’d take striker like that anytime..

It’s my view that Conway is seriously overrated my some posters on here. It’s an opinion Sturny……..… I’m not taking refuse in the false security of consensus.

15 goals - how many were penalties?……. I get that he has to bury them but essentially pens are a free shot at goal. To me Conway is lightweight and misses too many one on ones. He messed one up today but got lucky and won a penalty.

I thought he was pretty good as well. Letting ‘meaty’ but fair challenges go was definitely a plus. Lots of other refs would have seen a foul when in fact they were just tough tackles.

If City can get that amount for Conway then fair play but at the same time whoever pays it are mugs in my view. How many chances did he miss today? I can think of two that a proper striker would have buried. The penalty he won and then converted was because he’d messed up another one and one and the keeper brought him down. How many pens has got this season? - they add to his tally of course.

Thing is - we don’t know yet if there’ll be any wriggle room. Much will depend on the outgoing income. Obviously some players will be moving on, Conway possibly who’s probably our best asset - £2m for him and who knows? Twine was unable to play as much as he’d wanted but when he did play there were definitely signs of his class and today’s performance certainly showed off that class - I was a little disappointed when he got subbed.

Excellent game today, looked really sharp and linked up play really well. His performance was capped off with a well taken free kick. Manning wants to sign him and if he has a little financial wriggle room Burnley may well take far less than the inflated £5m they’ve been asking for. An offer of £2.5m might just tempt them……….

Yeah - just heard driving back on RB that the Bears were 19-0 down and came back to win 21-19. Sounded like a incredible game.

Bummer that Lincoln missed out by losing to already promoted Pompey…….…

It’s a play on words pillred based entirely on fans who’s team are involved. They all want their team to get promotion and ‘pray’ that they do.

Pompey of course and almost certainly Derby but the play offs are too close to call with four clubs all within two points of each other all looking for three more points to guarantee a pray off place. Personally I hope Lincoln City can stay in 6th and are at Sincil Bank today facing already promoted Pompey who hopefully are already ‘on the beach’. If they can win the pray offs then it’ll be a definite away trip for me next season. Lincoln is a beautiful City having spent lots of time there visiting my paternal g’father as a lad.

Really?……… I used to find that being in it was a really embarrassing reflection on our club. It is and always has been a trophy for the also rans. I’m delighted that City are no longer in it.
