Once again a poor performance from the officials. Inconsistency seems to be a trend at the gate. As for the push on Scott maybe ? he was looking for it but if Cam Pring had touched Pukki in the same manner I am sure he would have pointed to the spot!

Standard of refereeing in championship is shocking. Once again today’s Referee failed us. He sent Skye’s off against Luton but failed to show Freeman a red card for violent conduct when he pushed Skye’s to the ground. We have come to expect poor referees.

Kieth Stroud would have given a penalty for tackle on Samenyo at the Gate against Swansea!! As the 4th official he was seen saying that’s a penalty to the Swansea dugout but couldn’t advise our wonderful premiership ref in the middle!

Can the Fourth Official Make Decisions? They can't really go so far as making their own decisions, but the referee can seek assistance from the fourth official if he/she and the two assistants have missed a potentially match-changing incident (e.g. possible yellow or red cards and penalties) Mr P didn’t ask that’s for sure because he could do no wrong. I did hear that Mr Stroud and the Swansea bench thought the Samenyo challenge was a clear cut penalty. Swansea bench seen with heads in hands as they waited for Nr P to point to the spot !!!

If Kieth Stroud had been the referee on Sunday I am sure he would have given us a penalty for the tackle on Samenyo and Nathan Wood would have seen red followed by another penalty. Some on here may disagree but Mr Stroud has on the occasions he has refereed us this season he has been pretty good to honest

In the current football climate it is hard for any manager to succeed players on excessively high wage’s , agents asking(ripping off clubs) for bigger cuts of transfer fees. Clubs asking for high transfer fees for run of the mill players , FFP ! We are lucky that we have an owner who is credible and not Mickey Mouse like so many at other clubs in recent times. NP may not be working at the moment but the club was in an absolute mess following the Ashton years! Any changes are going to take time football management is a rollercoaster at the best of times many owners twist when they should have stuck. Seeing our academy produce some fine young players is a bonus. No team has a right to success as a supporter you have to ride the good times as well as the bad.

Let’s face it the standard of officials is so poor in the championship and the EFL. Big Nigel has said so often enough and got fined for his trouble. The high boot ? on Wells is not only dangerous play it could have caused injury to his eye. I ask the question why does the linesman not raise his Flag he would have had a clear line of sight ! In fact apart from waving ? a flag when the ball ️ goes out of play do they actually make any decisions if so have not noticed it at Ashton Gate for sometime!

I think the main reason for his current lack of form is due to pending World Cup. He wants to stay injury free so he can say he has played in the tournament. Injury meant he lost out on Africa cup of nations. However if selected for Saturday he needs to turn up !!

Max has stepped up with some good displays and as it has been pointed out distribution far superior to Bentley. Max has earned his chance and with Bentley more than likely leaving when his contract is Up in the summer. I say stick with Max and the French lad as backup. Since Max has come into the side the defence is better organised and confident. Well done Max Our new no 1

Inconsistent officials are the main problem throughout the championship. Norwood tackle red card all day , how the linesman hasn’t seen is also baffling but this is the standard we have come to expect at Ashtongate!

Much better performance Max O’Leary looked safe tonight introduction of Klose at back also helped to make defence look slightly more solid. Outstanding performance from Atkinson.

Only Nigel will know the team this evening hopefully a change in defence. If Klose fit I would agree he needs to start

I found Subbuteo flicking pointless to be honest.

Hanley tackle on Skye’s was clumsy but still a foal therefore should have been a penalty. If the same challenge had been in the Bristol City box by any one of our defenders penalty would have been awarded. A simple sneeze ? anywhere near an opposing forward in the City box has our defence always seem to glance towards the ref expecting the penalty to be awarded. Oh for referees to be consistent!

Tonight’s game showed how far we have come. Norwich are propped up by Parachute ? payments and were able to bring in reinforcements being able to pay £5 million plus fees. I am happy with our recruitment on a shoestring well done big Nigel
