Just to say, I currently live in a country where gambling is illegal. The whole thing. There are no bookies, no lottery, no casinos. The closest you can legally get to gambling is a raffle at the local fete or charity dinner.

However, I can ask the right person and quickly get on the phone to "a man" who will enter my name into an underground lottery. There are a few places that run cock fights and the like that will take bets. Alternatively in the modern age I can also access any UK or US website or app via a VPN and gamble on there, using my UK bank account that I can freely transfer cash to/from if I want to. Gambling still goes on, quite widely as well, it's just totally unregulated and unobserved by any local government.

My point is that it is human to speculate, gamble, and bet. It's a vice, and has the capacity to destroy a life, but it will always happen. In my opinion it is better to have it regulated, taxed, and monitored, and for there to be support available (paid for by those who profit from it) for those affected by it rather than to outright ban it and drive it underground where it can be exploited by unregulated people.

Simultaneously I'd say that you can have all of that and yet still ban the active promotion of it, and without making it seem like it is a natural part of sport. I would ban it from being advertised, I'd probably do the same with alcohol. These businesses just don't really need advertising IMO, humans will seek them out regardless.

Where do you live out of interest if you don’t mind me asking

They must have come to a settlement with Garner, I’m pretty sure you can’t manage again until outstanding compensation is sorted. Tisdale is probably the only one, as they gave him a two and a half year deal but sacked him after 19 games..

I think there are 2 possibilities as to why the fake Sheikh hasn’t sacked him, as others have said, he is waiting to see if the courts do the job for him (saving him the compensation) or he’s scared of him.

That second one is no joke, some of Barton’s hangers on are seriously unpleasant, if you don’t believe me, Google Joey Barton & Andrew Taylor..

Meet some Everton fans on my travels and they said his family were rough as xxxx

I know a reasonable number of sags and they’re all sound as a pound.  We have a bit of good natured banter and some really enjoyable and friendly discussions about football.

That’s why I can’t understand how their Sagchat Forum seems so infested with totally brain dead, deluded morons.

I can’t work out whether Sagchat is just a magnet for for the most deluded, simpleton belters of their fanbase, or all sags are two faced and although seeming like normal human beings in mixed company, they just revert to gormless retards when amongst their own kind.

There do seem to be a few sensible posters on there, but there appears to be a large percentage of them who would only need the fingers of one hand to count their IQ levels.

The gap between the quality of discussion on their site and OTIB is probably even wider than the gap in our respective league positions.  They really do come across as the village idiots of Bristol.

Would people on here say a lot of things face to face that they post on here ?

    Hindsight is wonderful.

We’ve had a terrible season, Max Ehmer on paper was a good signing at this level but for some reason just didn’t work out. Could say exactly the same for a few others; Westbrooke, Oztumer, Nicholson. Garner seemed to take all our experience and and push them out the door. We went into the season with a very inexperienced strike force and Tisdale didn’t change that when he came in.

The loss of JCH was always going to be huge but it’s as if we made zero effort to try to replace him. I’m not asking for another striker like him, but 2 or 3 who can chip in and maybe score 30 between them.

McCormick on loan from Chelsea has been brilliant and it’s rumoured he’s off to Millwall next season, wish him all the best.

I want to say had Jaakola been fit all season we’d have put up more of a fight. He’s a quality keeper at this level but even if he had we were so poor everywhere else I really don’t think it would have mattered.

As for managers, IMO our best chance of staying up was under Garner and that speaks for itself. I’m actually disgusted with the way Barton has come in and handled pretty much everything. Wael has backed him publicly and I like Wael, you can see he wants to do right by the football club but it’s just not happening for him.

Regardless we deserved what we got this season. The joys of supporting a club not in the top 6 is that this is football. We take the real bad times and still support our club. I know Rovers are shit. I’ve been paying to sit  on the sofa all year watching us lose to pretty much everyone. I’ve hated pretty much every minute of it but come the new season I’ll either be there in person or watching on iFollow again.

Anyway, enjoy the summer lads. We’re all England now aren’t we?

Some good lad from the blue half that follow England

Playing the Gas next year in a league game.

What have we got to show for the last 20 years?

If I was a gas head, I’d be pissing myself. They know they’ve got **** all and have been to the brink and back.

All of Steve’s promises and all we’ve done is bounce between div2/3.

Were getting a conference centre mind!

Well, not the club as such, but still...

    Playing rovers,Swindon oxford,Plymouth.maybe Exeter...bring it on

Fans will not be allowed back anytime soon. Whole country bar small minor counties will be placed into at least tier 2 come the 2nd of December. A new tier 4 will be announced with even stricter guidelines too. I've pretty much accepted this season I wont be seeing the City, well at least until vaccinated. However very hopeful Euros still goes ahead as planned, tickets for England v Kalas's Czech, plus qtrs if England win the group ??

England will have a tough group in the round of 16 to negotiate before the quarters

    but fingers crossed

    PFA are reporting that halves may be less than 45 minutes;

“We don't know the future. What we do know is what propositions have been put, what ideas have been put, the possibility of having more substitutes, games possibly not being the full 45 minutes each way.”

As each day goes by this becomes more and more ridiculous - certain Clubs want home & away games to endure sporting integrity - we’ll do away with relegation - oh ok doesn't matter about the integrity now.

Each day this gets more and more desperate

All they seem to worry about is staying in the premiership and money

    nothing more nothing less
