As if anyone needed telling but last nights trouncing of Denmark showed you that you can never rule out Germany in a football tournament. They may not have been fancied going into the Euro's but the 8 times champions showed that they still have what it takes. It will take a good team to beat the Lionesses but I'm hoping we can avoid the Germans in the quarter finals. Germany's game, against Spain will peak my interest.

I suppose it sticks £100k in our coffers and all contributions are welcome, at present.

I would like updates on U23s as they are the future. However, more importantly Joe Low was given a 3 year contract in 2021 and sent on loan to a National League side, the implication of which is that he was seen as a player who could break into first team squad contention sooner rather than later. Now he's back with us, injured or not, I just wonder how he's viewed by the club now. Presumably behind Towler and Idehen but how far behind. Is he ahead or behind players like Callum Wood and James Taylor? Provided he's fit is he a guaranteed starter for the U23s? Does another loan beckon or is he likely to be released? The silence is deafening.

So he was on crutches 4 months ago due to who knows what, but no updates since. Strange.

Since being recalled from Eastleigh he seems to have disappeared without trace. Has he been reported as missing? Has a contract to 2024 doesn't he yet doesn't figure for the U23s. Is there any official record that he's on the long term injury list. There's appears to have been no mention of him in any capacity recently

Well I switched back on BBC iPlayer and caught the end. Good persistence from Delap to set up Ramsey's tap in for the third. In just a few seconds viewing he looked more of a threat than Scarlett.

I switched off after Scott was subbed. I know he'd been booked but instead of being replaced by the Villa lad it should have been Devine off and Alex pushed forward in the 10 role. What was the final score?

I've yet to be impressed by Scarlett. It's, a mysterons to me why he started up front.

But he was given no options. Nobody got right side or behind him for a lay off. I think he's the only English player so far who's tackled an Israeli.

I've enjoyed the banter too. The youngsters are really enjoying themselves with Towler and Buse real jokers in the pack.

He can teach the Bournemouth youth the Hucklebuck... Or at least the waddle like a duck bit.

I'd keep Conway around the club as, at present, he looks more ready than Bell who I'd send out on loan. Owers I'd like to see start in the Carabao Cup but his staying, rather than going out on loan may depend on whether Massengo re-signs or if we pursue Rudoni. I think Towler is more ready than Idehen but he's left sided where we're well covered so he might go on loan. Idehen should also be sent on loan but may stay especially if we sell Kalas.

In serious mode (as opposed to my earlier post) while I don't expect the Chinese to come knocking, talk in the press again of SLs search for new investment leaves me nervous that we might end up with ownership, at least in part, of some dodgy American investor whose only knowledge of sport is indoor lacrosse.
