  1. Pernille Harder, world record transfer holder in women's football, scores. Denmark 1-0 Finland.
  2. We created some chances, Wells, Sykes, Conway, Bell and Palmer-Holden all had opportunities to score but on the day didn't take them. I'd happily trade today's misses for goals in the keagye when ut matters. Happy with the workout.
  3. We look fit. I'm liking Naismith in the middle of the 3. His comfort on the ball seems to give more space for Williams and James and make it easier for them to look forward. The battle for RWB should be interesting as both Wilson and Tanner are high energy and adept at getting forward.
  4. 8-0. Talk about breezing into a QF. Now to see if it'll be Germany or Spain.
  5. What a half. Hemp, White and especially Mead will get most of the plaudits but the England midfield is superb. Georgia Stanway (who scored from the spot) and Fran Kirby (back to her best) are finding space between the lines but Keira Walsh has to be as good a midfielder as there is in the game (male or female). She is so in control and her range of passing is phenomenal. But this tournament is getting better everyday. Last night France created a new Euros record by scoring 5 in the 1st half, and now England have scored 6. Bring it on!
  6. I thought they had increased the capacity at the Mem after a trip to Go Outdoors netted them two new awnings and four picnic chairs.
  7. Spiring is an amazing shout. Liverpool sold him to Luton for £70k, but I don't suppose we had a sell on clause then. Ended his footballing career playing for Hereford I think.
  8. Because its classic OTIB. Now does anyone know what bike Maradona had to bring it full circle?
  9. France showing why they're the favourites. After Italy squandered an early chance it's been all France. The Italians could, and should, defend better but France's passing has been so slick, and matched to their skill and pace is simply too much for the opposition. 5-0 half time thus could reach double figures.
  10. How many sons of ex players have, also donned a City shirt in some capacity I wonder. The first I can think of was Brian Clark, son of Don. We've just sold Reuben McAllister, son of Jamie and Josh Owers and Sam Bell are on our books, sons of Gary and Mickey respectively. Are there any others? It doesn't count towards this list but I note that Scott Murray's son Jay scored a hat-trick For WSM yesterday.
  11. I'm watching too. I wonder how many City references he can get in before the end. We really ought to have a charity sweep every time Jonathan is on commentary , time of first City reference, number of City references in a game etc
  12. Totally agree. Even the best climbing of Pinot and the descending of Castroviejo couldn't pull him back.
  13. 2k to go. Think he will hold on now. Deserves to, phenomenal ride.
  14. Some great commentary. I'm looking for Thibault Pinot now, there he is, just out of sight.
  15. As if anyone needed telling but last nights trouncing of Denmark showed you that you can never rule out Germany in a football tournament. They may not have been fancied going into the Euro's but the 8 times champions showed that they still have what it takes. It will take a good team to beat the Lionesses but I'm hoping we can avoid the Germans in the quarter finals. Germany's game, against Spain will peak my interest.
  16. I suppose it sticks £100k in our coffers and all contributions are welcome, at present.
  17. Probably get fined. To be paid in cash instalments in plain brown envelopes.
  18. Not somebody I normally agree with but this is a good piece from Simon Jordan with some well thought out arguments. The irony of Reading wasn't entirely lost on me.
  19. Oh god! Lots of Welsh men from the valleys with their close harmony singing or whiney Mancs who sing through their nose like Liam Gallagher.
  20. No chance. Far too many season ticket holders to move, many of whom have restricted movement judging by how long it takes to get out of it after the game.
  21. Sad news. Condolences and prayers to all family and friends.
