Yes agreed.
Mehmeti had his best game tonight.
And tbh Yeboah also adds pace to the team although he is a bit raw.

A positive was that I thought Mehmetti had his best performance for us tonight.

2 or 3 poor players are spoiling this potentially good team

I think NP was building a real togetherness with the majority of fans that we haven't seen very often. The nearest in recent times probably being Steve Cotterell and Gary Johnson.A real feeling of positivity around the club. That feeling of optimism and goodwill was undone in an instant with Nigel's dismissal.I don't think the club could possibly be more out of tune with the fans.
There were many of us, including me, that felt that he had taken us as far as he could and and it needed a younger manager with fresh ideas to push us on.
And that will take more than 4 games.
I've actually seen some signs that we are starting to play better in short periods.
And just to add, I think the last 2 games we have been really unlucky - should have at least drawn with a top Southampton side away, bar a top strike.
Today, we were undone by 2 player cock ups which is out of the managers hands.
I'm quite positive about the future.

...' It's a mindset and Culture that needs to be changed'...regarding winning.
WTF...seriously?
So Nige hadn't installed that? **** off.
I know lots of people like his talk...but I'm find him just waffling coaching spiel when asked questions.
Doesn't take time to think of answers...it's all embedded.
Over time he's gonna come out worse than LJ for it imo.
I don't mind his football...but he's already grating on me in interviews.
You are just bitter that Pearson has gone and you will never like anything that Manning says or does.

Every time Sammy Szmodics scores I think if only, that seems to be happening a lot this season.
Sickening that we couldn't see this in him

I believe that we would see an improvement in TC........if Wells was in the side? That's my hope?

So when Nahki Wells comes on as a sub at Watford under Holden when we are 5- 0 down in a 6-0 defeat with only 4 minutes to go, you can’t see how that is completely different to him playing a full game?
You don’t think the fact that Conway scored more goals in the Championship last season than anyone of his age apart from a kid who was on loan from Man U is impressive?
Ok then.
I admire your loyalty but you're wrong.
Conway showed his inexperience tonight - he is good but not good enough yet.
We need a proven goalscorer up front and it's not Wells or Conway.

Strikers in January are at a premium and I think we're stuck with what we have for the season. Hope they find form.
If any one can pick out a gem from the lower leagues it's Manning

I don't want to keep dragging the past up cos we are where we are now.
The expectation was that we were not embarking on another 3 year project and instead made the change to immediately improve.
At the moment the early signs are that we have gone backwards. Whilst we could go forwards in the future, based on his 1st 3 games surely you can understand that that there are concerns?
I thought the first half performance was excellent away at an ex Prem team.
We should have been 2-0 up at ht if we had a decent striker.
Yes second half was disappointing but Max didn't really have much to do apart from pick the ball out of the net from a quality strike.
Definitely some positive signs.

If the OP is just pointing out that the 'jobs for the boys' policy of employing our ex players just because they are our ex players, then he is probably correct.
We should be employing the best people to fill that particular role.
I the case of Scotty Murray, he is clearly a 'fun' and popular member of staff who also does much charitable work.
However, as he is probably mixing with the players a lot and influencing them, we don't really want that 'fun' to be too over the top and seen as the norm.

He isn't that convincing a subject when faced with a microphone.
Isn't it strange that as you don't want him here, you are able to find anything, no matter how tenuous to criticise him with.
I think that was a really candid and articulate interview.

Really hard fought win which previously we would have probably lost.
Thought the lads put in a massive effort in throughout.

On a positive note - for short spells in that second half we actually looked really good - just need to be more consistent
