We weren't exactly flying when we had a fully fit squad

We'll never know. With the backing he got - no.
We were the lowest net-spending team outside of the parachute clubs for a reason.Yes he had little money to spend but quality managers make even average teams look good.
I think he bought average players - I'd rather he'd bought 2 or 3 of quality than the 5 or 6 he did,
He played players in the wrong positions, and often set up the team wrong.
Having said that he sorted out the financial problems we had with he playing personnel.

And if he doesn't you'll be giving him no more than about 6 weeks before wanting to hound him out.
Bit longer than that.
Pearson did much for us but was never going to get us up.

Can't really have this discussion until we know who our next manager is.
There is just a possibility that he my get this team playing some consistently decent football for a change and keep us in the playoff positions.

From comments on here, I am expecting amazing things when we are back to a team with no injuries.

When you have a makeshift defence having a wobbly keeper behind you does not help in the slightest... A goalkeeper is urgently needed to give competition as there is none at the moment...
They might be makeshift but it would be nice if they were drilled a little better

Yes we have injuries which means our midfield and defence is so weak and we are making even ordinary teams look good.

Can you just stfu with your constant trolling. It’s really ******* tedious.
This site would be pretty boring if everyone agreed on everything - it's what makes it a lively and interesting.
And you really can't just call people trolls and direct these sort of comments at them simply because they disagree with your views.
Lighten up and come back with something a bit more intelligent and inciteful.

You are the biggest troll on here.
And we all know who that puts you above.
People who have differing opinions to you are not always trolls - it's what makes this site interesting.

I repeat.
Has he shagged your missus or something?
Your anti-Pearson brain must be triggered to **** by all the support he is getting on here.
Do yourself a favour and take a break until you get your catastrophic wish.
It may very well be only a matter of hours.
Easy tiger...why do you Pearson lovers get so tetchy? Is it because you're in denial?

Amazing that despite this we won yesterday against a side that made the playoff final last season, then.
What a complete clown you are, as usual absolutely no idea what you’re talking about.
Have I hit a raw nerve..calm down already

I find the talk of Nige's health very distaseful. It's a private matter and should remain so. Unless & until he can't do the job he is being paid to do, then it should be no concern of anyone but Nige, his family (if he chooses to share), and his doctors. He's not 100%, we have a threadbare squad, and we are 8th in the table; that's telling me all I need to know about his capabilities. I do however worry that his health might be a 'convenient' way, for the powers that be, to bin him off. That would be a low low move, and I would expect better from our great club.
Mate, he can't even direct proceedings from the technical area let alone take a training session - that to me says he can't do the job properly at this point.

Out of interest, does your opinion change re “kicking on” if Nige gets backing to bring in another couple / few of the likes of JK and TGH (or better), with the Scott money? Is your position on Nige what it is because of the constraints he’s working under, or do you just think he doesn’t “have it”? No right or wrong answer either.
Dave, as an ardent City fan, nothing would give me more pleasure than Nige bringing in a couple of player who can transform our team into a more consistent, quality outfit and we will all be happy.
But tbh, he has been given money, albeit not lots and he has targeted and signed players who have had mixed degrees of success.
However, I think that Nige may have lost the energy and dynamism that he had in the Leicester days and although he has stabilized us, I feel he will not be the one to get us promoted....but we won't go down.
Just my view at the moment and I would love it if he succeeds and gets us up.

Err, he was only asking for an explanation as to why someone would vote in a particular way.
It's called debate!
Of course I thought you would vote that way, everytime you come on here It's a negative view.
Didn't see you post on Saturday... oh no, silly me, we won....
Top Robin my ass!!!
It's a poll, not a debate

Who said 'no'? Please explain your thinking.
Not having a pop just don't understand why this is even a point for discussion.
Err that's not really how polls work...unless you live in a dictatorship.
Ps..believe it or not, some people may just have differing opinions to you.

Right now the general consensus is he should be allowed to continue in the role.
There are more than enough reasons to support that consensus.
Why is there a few % who are desperate to ignore all the work that’s been done?
I'm 'Pearson out', but I totally appreciate the work that Pearson has done both on and off the pitch.
And in general, performances have improved albeit punctuated with some dross.
However, it is just my opinion that with Pearson in charge, we will neither get related or promoted and he will just keep us floating around in that middle area of the league
For many City fans, that may be OK as it would show stability and a mixture of good performances and probably some not so good.,
But, there must be some fans who aspire for greater things and would prefer to see more consistent quality performances where we will be serious promotion contenders.
I know Pearson has stabilized us but I do not feel that he has the dynamism and ability to get us promoted.
Tbh, I don't know who could do this for us right now and until we find someone who can, we may as well stick with Nige.

He ain’t the only one I always get it wrong one way or another aswell
Those on here who pick up people for spelling names wrong are knobs.
However you want to spell Nakhi or Nahki, he is not a great striker and should be moved on.

I don't think Nige will ever get us promoted.
He has got together his squad which is good but not good enough to get us up.
We will get some wins and some defeats like today and probably will languish in mid table for the foreseeable.
Nige is solid enough but for promotion we probably need somebody a bit more dynamic.

And who do you think makes the decisions / feeds into the decisions about Managers and players?
Oh yeh...sorry.. Lansdown
-
Is it only me who doesn't give a toss about the CEO or directors of our club....basically they are just administrators and puppets of Lansdown.
The only personnel at Bristol City who are important to me are the players and the manager.

It didn't last long and it wasn't all to do with injuries.
Tbh I was referring to the last 3 years.
