  1. Take the piss now saggies!!! We've just shown the whole country just how far ahead we are!
  2. So they will claim the moral high ground by taking the piss out of a club, 3rd in the Championship playing in the 1/4 finals of a major cup competition against possibly the biggest club in the world at a sold out, state of the art stadium with a crowd they can only dream of, if we lose? This is in a competition in which they are the only club in history to lose in a qualifying round and weren't even allowed to enter a few years ago. I keep trying to understand their logic but, after over 40 years, I should know it's impossible!
  3. Un-bloody-believable. It would be hilariously funny though! 'I think that SL has had a whisper in few UWE Governors ears, and i would be willing to put my neck out and say the egg chasers will play at UWE. The guy is a w4nker, ever since it was revealed that he had been giving financial advice, the days of us working with UWE were numbered.'
  4. They really don't help themselves do they? He would cost at least 20 Tilsons!
  5. That's good as, even though he's crap (according to their fan because they lost on Saturday), he's their best / only player! Slip, slidin' away.
  6. Their pitch was crap before this so imagine what a couple of tandems and a wheelbarrow will do to their 'Championship ready' surface? I bet the organisers are hoping there's a bike race on.
  7. Spot on Swede. I've no idea what is happening with QPR's record fine (another appeal was the last I heard) but board members are leaving the club which cannot be good as the fine will, eventually, have to be paid. With the gas dinosaur in charge, they're not likely to be pushing at the top end of the Championship as (apart from being in West London) they're not a big club. With the new stadium, canny management and a bloody good side, I agree that Brentford will boss them as will Fulham. QPR can't afford to do anything re moving due to the impending fine I assume so they are royally screwed at the mo. Let's hope the pikeys up the road do copy them, that would be fun to watch as they disintegrate even further. I've nothing against QPR per se but their blatant flouting of the rules is going to bite them big time at some point.
  8. Dear lord that's bad! You've got to feel sorry for the bloke though, spent his entire adult life with his hand stuck up an emu's arse and followed the gas. No wonder he fell off a roof! What a dreadful 'song' that is.
  9. What a day that was, City WERE on the way back! It was a small step I suppose but it didn't half mean a lot. EDIT: I was thinking of Chester away when we went up not down, at Sealand road.
  10. Just seen the goals from their game, the 4th Gills goal was some strike!
  11. All about opinions Rich and I respect yours. Personally, I don't think there are many worse than LR. It's uncomfortable, the view is poor from the top tier and it needs updating. That's just my opinion but I understand the 'tightness' point. In comparison to many grounds in the Championship I just think it's one of the poorer stadiums nowadays.
  12. Oh dear god!! 'In the longer term, I've thought before that QPR are a model of exactly what I would like us and our stadium to become. Not because of our ties with Francis and Holloway, but because they are what they are, despite the big competition on their doorstep. A solid Championship side with the occasional foray into the Prem, with the odd slip-up into L1. A compact 18,000 seater stadium surrounded by housing which generates a great atmosphere. No need to worry about Arsenal, Chelsea etc. It's a fan-based club and a different thing altogether from those massive football corporations' Does that include the financial overspend / cheating, the worst ground in the Championship and the £60M fine hanging over the club, for cheating then? These fookers are more ignorant /stupid than even I thought and I perceive them as just above an amoeba (with all respect to amoebas)!
  13. Isn't it nice of them to give us such a big head start though?
  14. Cracking work cityal. If things stay as they are, we must be close to a record deficit this season then?
  15. Seems pretty accurate to me ZE! Can't you just sense the jealousy emanating from the sag waffle?
  16. More unsubstantiated, deluded bullsh1t from the uber fans over in BS7. We're all glory hunting 'plastics' now, waiting to charge up to the Mem! I wish I knew that 40 odd years ago. As for 'the % of support stays the same'? No it doesn't. Is 7,000 compared to 21,000 (33%) the same as 6,000 is to 13,000 (46%) then? They are totally brain dead, absolute whoppers! Their support is now 1/3 of ours, supported by both attendances and season ticket holders (~5,000 and falling in comparison to 15,500 and rising) and their % is falling as well. Long may it continue. 'If you're going to be a gashead you're going to be a gashead. It will be driven by family and/or the first game you're take to and then the bug bites. There are far more many man utd fans in Bristol than there are gasheads. We've always been in the shadow of the Dark Side of BS3, but the % of support remains the same. The ones who go to Trashton when they are doing well just because they are doing well stops as soon as they're not doing well. The majority of our support go to our games come what may, home and away, rain or shine. IF we ever became a 'bigger' club then those 'plastics' down at Trashton would come and see us'.
  17. Loyal and true? We're jealous of 'THAT'? 3505? LOOOOOOL! They really are 'special' aren't they?
  18. Yep, first time I've run out but I'm a miserable bugger so may have been limited for some time and not known.
  19. Personally, there are many things about the gas that I despise but their support pales into insignificance compared to ours so it's irrelevant! Even Sky said on the tele, during the 'Boro match (I watched it again, how sad am I), that our support is loud so why would we be jealous of 7,000 people getting wet watching hoofball on a quagmire, in a sh1t stadium when we regularly have over 20,000 enjoying Championship football, on a bowling green, in luxury?
  20. Essentially, £93M helped. There's the difference in a proper football club and the methane snorters up the road! They seem to have overlooked the financial aspect.
  21. As for matching our level at the Mem? Yeah, right, of course they would!
  22. Not bad but Ill raise you... Until the 12th of never, Johnny Mathis. 'Until the Twelfth of Never and that's a long, long time'.
  23. This makes for a decent read. One of theirs has it spot on, 'protesting because City are near the Prem'! http://gaschat.co.uk/thread/11269/mk-dons-brfc-crossroad They won't get a Stadium MK, probably not even the hockey stadium Mk used to play in as THEY COST MONEY! At least some on there realise it's not just about the seats and capacity, moreso the additional revenue streams MK (and us now) have which is probably what made the UWE a crap deal for them. Without the non matchday stuff, having the UWE would have made next to no difference to their revenues apart from having a shiny stadium, just to play in while UWE reaped the benefits.
  24. Erm, aren't they the same place? I live close to BI, not in it, and there is one staunch gas boozer on the island suggesting the estate is predominantly blue. I would suggest it's one of the few blue areas left but in Barrs, next door, it's virtually ALL red and long may it continue! @Cheesleysmate lives near me so I would assume he agrees? Kingswood was pretty blue when I was a nipper with one shining 'bastion of red' boozer. While there's still a lot of older blues, I would suggest there are an awful lot more reds in BS15 than there used to be, maybe not parity yet but it's not far off!
