  1. Please excuse the slightly pissed post but I've just been to a Halloween night at a diehard gas pub as a known red and got away with singing this-ish at karaoke as 'mind the gap'! I thought I should share it. If I'm bladdered please accept my apologies.
  2. This what was missing, something we should expect from a youngster. If he's sorted his delivery out, we've got some player on our hands, another one!
  3. Gappy anniversary fellow reds! Here's to the next 17.
  4. I'll just disown my niece mate! In the words of CJ, 'I didn't get to where I am today by having gasheads in the family'!
  5. Another one with a 'soon to be' gashead in the family (sister's son in law 2 B) He's a decent lad, watches them a lot and has a good wind up with me. Guess who wants a ticket for the United game?
  6. It would be wrong not to mention the 40th anniversary of this wonderful day. 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 Tottenham
  7. No offence but you appear to me calling me a racist or a user of phrases with 'racist tendencies' and I will not accept that at all from anyone. I am genuinely offended. If it means that much to you, report it. It was a joke term but you're making an issue of it and, to be fair, have support so it's your call. I have nothing further to say.
  8. Hasn't he mortgaged that to the hilt though? That asset is surely worth less and less with each additional interest payment.
  9. With all respect, as you're a good poster, stop looking for things to be offended by please. If you can't see that was light hearted, that's your issue and not mine. I guess the same applies to El H and James who agreed with you. Move on or report me for racism, I don't really care.
  10. Of course, when they took over, the sainsbury's ££££ was on the table wasn't it?
  11. Why buy the land at Almondsbury though? That's what I don't get. If he's bought that with money allegedly secured against their only asset, for land that can't be used for housing, what's the point in owning it if he's gonna do a runner? I appreciate it's his big brother who supposedly controls the purse strings but I don't see the value in owning the colony if he's a con man? I get the impression that big bruv bought the gas as a 'toy' to keep little bruv out of the way and give him something to do but he ain't being allowed any pocket money. Here's another question, I understand they're looking for 'outside investment' for any redevelopment, what possible benefit is there for any investor putting money into a redeveloped stadium? Why would anyone do it? That's in general and, rarely, not a snipe at the methane snorters.
  12. If that's racist, I'm a banana! I don't do PC PSR but would, respectfully, suggest if you're that easily offended, maybe a football forum, with it's odd humour, is the wrong place?
  13. Let me get this right please and correct me if this is wrong as I'm an engineer not a financier. The camel herder has been borrowing money, using the mem as collateral, essentially lessening it's value and is now putting the interest payments on that money borrowed against the asset of the mem as well? That can only end one way surely as he hasn't essentially risked a penny of his or his families cash? Has he bought the 'colony' land with money borrowed against the mem as well? There can't be much equity left if all this is happening as the ground is worth bugger all, just the land it stands on!
  14. Likewise, I've only been in there once, the day they beat Wycombe to 'stay up' I was met by a chorus of 'sheeedhead' and 'goodnight Irene' although I knew a few of them, all friendly enough. I didn't stay long. Popular boozer though.
  15. Fair play BCFC11, I'm only just up the road to be fair in Barrs Ct.
  16. I still nip in there for a beer now and again even though it's a curry house now, very pleasant it is too. In those days, when the Barrs was rather lively, it was predominantly gas but it was more like a nightclub that a pub. I've fallen out of there at 5am before. It used to be frequented by banjo's finest and, to be fair, banjo is nigh on 100% gas, even nowadays. As for the 'need 15,000' to break even, that would worry anyone who supports that shower although Henbury ****t probably thinks the Mem can get that many in regardless.
  17. Isn't the ground where Clifton play and surrounding areas all owned by AXA?
  18. No, just NO! It's the sort of place where you wipe your feet on the way out, awful, the worst part of the city IMHO!
