  1. Dont think there is anything in that, Wes probably had a bottle of panda pop & got a bit excited with his “banter”…….if he does end up going to a club like Ipswich i would suggest it would be down to his move abroad falling through & then Pearson saying thanks but no thanks.

Hopefully we can get the Roberts deal over the line early in the week & we can then put this one to bed.

Because they've been charged with over 100 breaches of financial rules.

That's not spending to win, that's cheating.

They've made the top division significantly worse. Without Liverpool for 4 years and Arsenal this it would be a farmers league like Ligue 1

But have they not pushed Liverpool & Arsenal to be better? That would be the reason it’s not a farmers league!

If the same rules applied years ago, do you not think Man Utd would of got done for financial rules? The money they spent on Roy Keane was pretty obscene! They have made English football stronger, it’s a fact.

Tainted treble. Which in a way is a good thing as it was inevitable they'd do it at some point.

Silver lining is all those Man U fans who've banged on about 99 for the last 20 odd years will be quiet and there are no City fans about to listen to.

Why is it tainted? Because they spent money? Blackburn did the same to win the prem, is that classed as tainted? No team could of broke the stranglehold of the “Big 4” without spending millions upon millions. No issue with them doing that. They have made the top division better.

Yet he was the architect for the goal?

Really? Thought it was Silva…..either way, i dont think he is a particularly great player, bit like Nacho at Madrid, can do a job but would be more suited to a West Ham/ Real Betis (in Nacho’s situation!).

This is similar circumstances to the Euro final. England had the better team but Italy had the mentality to beat them. If Inter can get a goal it will become really tough for Man City.

Yep, & i think Inter will win this tonight.

Inzaghi and his Lazio were excellent. Few years ago bow, Napoli much of the season have been superb to watch, way to display your knowledge of Italian football. Atalanta under Gasperini for a few years were excellent and that included taking it to opposition in Europe. Italy in Euro 2021 and the year or 2 before were very attack minded under Mancini. Fiorentjna in some ways but only some dominated vs West Ham.

Not saying Italy is some fun free flowing League but more variety than you give credit for.

Fair play if thats what you believe……but Italy were not good in Euro 2021, none of the teams were.

I he is the view certainly before tonight that Napoli v Man City would have been a better matchup- a much more fun one certainly. However Cup ties etc- Inter tactically strong, Man City not quite at it- intriguing matchup so far.

I agree, Man City v Napoli would have been an excellent final, really attacking and a lot of quality……you aren’t wrong, it is intriguing (albeit rather turgid)…..for what it’s worth i think Inter will win this.

Exactly. And yet there’s pundits/ex players who have covered or played in upwards of 10+ finals still talking about it like it isn’t a final. This isn’t a shock at all

I agree……i think Inter will win, just very very boring for the neutral!

All the English pundits and twitter experts that have spent 2 weeks saying City will steamroll them and it’ll be incredibly one sided….oh dear.

Even this morning Ferdinand wasn’t even contemplating Inter winning it, was literally saying “when City do it” every time it came into conversation.

I mean, i have watched quite a bit of Inter this season on BT & it really shouldn’t be a contest…..even the semi againt AC was shit, but pressure & a final does wierd things, if this was a group game would fancy Man City to batter them by about 4 goals.

Going by posts from many fans across Twitter where they’ve suggested their club sign Scott for a few million - I think our fans and club are hugely overvaluing Scott. I understand the club doing it to obtain optimal price but I can’t see any club offering any more than 10m quid for him.

Massengo cost us £7mil & that was 4 years ago, i would say Scott is much further along with his development than HNM was & nobody really thought the money was OTT. I dont think any club would be stupid enough to offer £10mil & think they would get told anything other than “piss off & dont waste our time”. Some of the prices are ridiculous, i agree, but i think it’s reasonable to ask (& expect) around £25m.
