  1. For a good podcast I’d recommend SDS, albeit they cover Prem and not Championship. Good mix of knowledge and genuine belly laughs. I think it’ll appeal generally to more the 20-40 sort of age groups but other than OSIB, it’s my fav pod out there.

More on topic, Second Tier have always been a little down on us but to be fair we’ve provided the ammunition over the past few seasons! I look forward to them seeing our improvement next term.

  2. Well done again Nige, we have to call this nonsense out. To get no decisions for the foul on Bell against Sheff U, the blatant tangle with Conway in the box or the absolute crunching tackle on Bell in the box against Rotherham, then to get a penalty against because Vyner farted near Hugill... It's a good summary of what we're up against this past few seasons.

I do wonder if our outward criticism of officiating is working against us though. It'd be a very poor attitude from these 'professional' refs, but they do seem weak and insecure enough to employ those kind of tactics.

Just been part of a team that beat Rangers 2-0 and have won seven on the bounce.

Playing RWB… not a position of priority at all with Tanner, Sykes and Wilson. Must be coming in as a right sided CB. Having done some research, I’m not loving 2 million.

  4. Williams’ return to the bench (a little earlier than expected?) means OTC loses his spot - but he’s done his credentials no harm this past couple of months. I think we win today. Bell is scoring. ?⚪

  5. Unchanged XI again, Leeson off the bench and Sykes back on it following a harsh ban. Our bench looks menacing right now, lots of talent there. Injuries back under control. Let’s spoil a promotion party. ?⚪

  6. I see the thread has turned on to some other discussions but on the original point - I think I’d like to see an extension. Partly for the reason mentioned, being able to give security to Pearson’s signings. But another thing for me is; many people have said in the past about how Pearson will come in and clean up the mess (which he has) and it then may be another manager that makes the next step and takes us up, off the back of Nige’s work. And if we’re being honest, the manager who ends our top-flight exile will get far more plaudits and murals than Nige will get for his firefighting job. I think it’d be more poetic if Nige himself saw the job through, and on the football we’re playing and the players he’s signed, I see no reason he can’t. Next two seasons I think we’ll be pushing hard for promotion. I wouldn’t rule us out next year.

So it’s a yes from me!

  7. Opportunity for some bragging, I get away very rarely but my only 4 are:

Nottingham Forest - 0-0. Tomlin missed a penalty for them which was a sweetener.

Sheffield United - 3-2 win, Weimann’s first ever career hattrick.

Derby County - 3-1 win. Weimann got his 20th of the season.

Stoke a week ago. Late Mehmeti winner.

Fingers crossed for a good one next season too??⚪

Vyner a grumbling in the groin today, that’s he’s been playing with, but at 2-0 down no point in carrying on.

Of course it’s a centre-half. Our injuries have been very concentrated to certain positions, magnifying their effect. No rest either - onto midweek!

  9. Good performance, if we get better at protecting leads I really think next year is gearing up in an exciting way. We’re clearly moving in the right way.

Slight knock for Cornick before being subbed or did I imagine it?
