  1. Stupid website / ticketing conditions.

    I have a ticket.

I want to buy my daughter a ticket but it’s impossible. Red highlights everywhere….

It seems you have to buy an adult and junior ticket in the family area but can only buy ONE ticket if you’re a lowly member like me.

Nigel Pearson joined 23 Feb 2021, and Ashton gave notice the weekend before it was announced officially on 13 April 2022. And it wasn't effective until 31 May 2021.

Do you have a DeLorean by any chance?

  3. There's way too much optimism on this thread, where's @andy2005 or whatever his name is when you need him (or her or they/them)

Where are we now? Thankfully still in BS3.

Where will we be - also in BS3.

In terms of the football, I'm not expecting miracles now or in the summer. The turnover in playing staff could go either way on the pitch - they gel quickly and perform well. Or, they don't. We will either be entertained or bored stiff. And we'll either be Pearson in or Pearson out, depending on what happened in the last 2 games.

We're Bristol City. Anything is possible. Except promotion to the premier league.

  4. I have a soft spot for the Manchester City.

Studying up in Manchester and living in and around Maine Road you couldn't help but feel some sort of alliance with them. In general a great bunch of lads the Mancunians.

Unlike the other Manchester club. ?. London arse wipes.

  5. some of my best days supporting City have been away games at York, Walsall, QPR, Chesterfield, Wrexham, Chester...etc....when we absolutely hammered the opposition.

how does that "success" correlate with getting hammered every week at home by Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester, etc...

that's the challenge - how could we do a Brentford or a Brighton? And would we be happy with that? being a mid table premier league team (well i guess it might be better than being a mid table championship team?)

i don't know what the answer would be, but I'd certainly put winning something, above winning nothing?

  6. Its very hard making a silk purse out of a sow's ear.

And that is where we are. I think Pearson is a little more clever and astute than posters on here give him credit for.

He's working out who to keep and who to bin. He's done it methodically and systematically.

e.g. He has said that we can't play with 4 at the back because we don't have the talent for it. We zonal mark because our defenders don't have the ability to track runners.

He knows what the problems are and he's testing the players. I rate that some of them don't like it. Good. The spineless loser mentality must be rooted out of this club, once and for all.

He won't be fired. He'll be given the January window. And then what happens happens.

  7. 1 hour ago, Sir Geoff said:

Current form isn't bad. Draw with Watford, away win at Rotherham.

In our next 6 fixtures we should be winning at least 2 of them. (1 win every 3 games on average will see us safe).

I think you may be surprised at the activity this January. Pretty sure there will be movement in and out.

I wonder if the activity you speak of is what is destabilising the squad.

I understand why we have the transfer windows, to stop rich teams just buying players at the end of the season.

For me the windows are manufactured click bait nonsense for the media hype.

It’s not like we’re a rich club or ever in the mix to win anything! So I say they should be abolished.
