Watching live on RTV his goal didn't look that great until i saw the replay from another angle. Superb bit of skill to take it and finish.

Manager talks about desire, there it is for all to see.
Absolute battler with no shortage of class. Proper baller.

Racist abuse of England players wasn't it? Or has that one been done and this is something else?
-
It's not true though is it?
We tried to invest in younger players that could do a job now but also improve and add £ value. That hasn't always worked out of course but it's not just in Europe (no mention of HNM there?), what about Webster and Brownhill. Made good profit on both and served us well, recruited from the EFL. We continue to develop good home grown players too, some of which have gone for large amounts and others who are also worth a tidy profit are currently holding down places in our team, did that get a mention?
As for covid....how the hell would anyone be planning for that? Any business model is going to expect a turnover as part of its model. It's not like we've taken a huge gamble on getting to the Prem, we've made large investments for sure but not in an all or nothing attempt. I feel we are a victim of circumstance more than anything else.

City have also brought in 19-year-old Duncan Idehen on a six-month contract.
The central defender arrives as a free agent, having previously progressed through the player pathway at Grimsby Town prior to his departure from the Mariners in October.

I was literally about to create the same topic.
Echo the above.
The bit near the end where he talks about what's important to him as a footballer was refreshing to hear.
Can certainly see him around next season, already looks an asset on the pitch and the type of character to be one off of it as well.

Really pulled his game together since his return. It's been a joy to watch.
Well deserved.

It's like Jody Morris but without the party planning.

Shows how quick your professional life can fall apart when your private one does.
He was as important as anyone for Leicester in their title winning season. Sad to see really, clearly a talented player when at his best.

It's like a who is shittest competition with us just losing out to Reading that half. Combine that with a soft ref and even though we are thankfully 1-0 up, that was pants.

We wish him well. See you Sunday Nige.

Strange goings on again here….
Why would anyone agree to a pre-scheduled appointment on the day of a game? Bizarre timing at the very least.
We don't know the details. Your health should always come first.
Nige has had a tough time on and off the last 18 months.

Nigel Pearson will be absent from this evening’s game against Reading.
The Manager has undergone a scheduled routine medical procedure and is planning to return to work ahead of Sunday’s game at Swansea City.
Assistant Manager Curtis Fleming will take charge of the team against Reading.
“I would like to thank everyone at the football club for their support,” said Pearson. “I wish Curtis, the staff and the players all the best for today’s game and look forward to returning to work as soon as possible.”

A win with a clean sheet would be nice.
2/3 changes expected?

Their next match is over the international break at the end of March (2 games v Nigeria) so he probably wouldn't miss any games for us.
He could end up playing at the 22 World Cup. I didn't see that coming at the start of the season to be perfectly honest.
Can certainly see why both parties are interested in making it happen.

Rovers kicked off as well.

Well at least tell us where they came on the list!

Yes, I intend to check those out, in the not too distant future.
Loved the bit where Riley was explaining his view on death to Erin (which she reprised later).
The only bit I had an issue with was the depiction of the "angel", thought he looked a bit meh, would rather he remain a shadowy figure .
Yeh that's a great scene. I'm certainly nore of a Riley so it really hit the mark for me.
Post again when you watch one of the others.

It's a good take on a classic genre. I liked the angle on faith and life after death.
Worth checking the directors (and some of the same cast) other series he did for Netflix if you liked that one.
The Haunting of Hill House and The Haunting of Bly Manor.
Both different to Midnight Mass but both similar in atmosphere and equally scary.

Got to say i wish/half expected these words to be our managers not there's today...
'It's not often you can use the word 'comfortable' in the Championship but I've used that word. I can't remember when we've won a game and my heart wasn't racing at the end because we've only been 1-0 or 2-1 up but today we were deserved victors.
"We played really well, scored some good goals and the only blemish was the goal we conceded. It was a really good all-round performance from us.
"We're in good form and that showed today.
"Two goals in quick succession settled us down but we were playing with confidence before then. Then the third goal in any game is important and we got it."

Once we're mathematically/realistically safe (v close now) it would be good to see him start a few and get a better assessment of his capability at this level.
Couple of decent cameos to see a game out, certainly not enough to make a judgement on that either way. Like what I've seen in those though, so be interesting to see him over 90 mins.
