  1. Have debated this for years with various people.

Stick a bobble hat and scarf on anything and add some snow, it will look 'Christmassy'.

Screw the penguins, lets give Arctic hares and the like some seasonal limelight for a change!

On the subject of penguins, quite possibly one of the saddest things I've ever seen (well, penguin related anyway)...

  2. Talented waster ultimately. Never owns the shirt and has had plenty of chances under multiple managers here.

He has all the technical and physical attributes to be a top player in this division. There is something not right there in terms of mentality or attitude.

I think he falls well short of Pearson's expectation levels.

Will he get 1 more chance before Jan? I think not.

Not financially easy to move on, loan or perm but he is a flair player and that might appeal to the right side who could afford the luxury.

I am so looking forward to this new addition to the Pinter repertoire.

I didn't order the previous limited red ale (For the Euros) yet I love this type of beer.

It will be tapped on Christmas Eve.

The Carbonation Dial info is only if you have a Pinter 2. I don't so it's treated I  the normal way.

Reminds me of a Beamish Red from back in the day. Thinking about it, i've not seen any Irish red ale around for ages.

Keep us posted on this one NI.

According to this site https://fbref.com/en/comps/10/misc/Championship-Stats#all_stats_misc (note it isn't wyscout which is where the data used by the chart that @Davefevs has posted comes from) Scott has suffered 28 fouls on him, and HNM has 29. Scott has just 9.3 '90s' to his name, which is why when you adjust total fouls into fouls/90 he rates very highly, despite being only 32nd in the league for total fouls. 28/9.3 is 3.01, as the chart roughly agrees.

HNM has 11.7 '90s'. HNM would therefore have 29/11.7 = 2.48 fouls/90, so he should be one of the dots near that line of the x-axis. Now they are all named (in fact everyone above about 1.6 fouls/90 is named), so presumably HNM must have too few dribbles/90 to register on the y-axis. Seems odd as he must have a few, and he has comfortably more than the 700 minutes that wyscout have used as a qualifier. Good spot.

    Above and beyond reply, cheers.

Massengo's ability to put himself between ball and man, then draw the foul/get fouled stands out so much i had to mention him.

  5. It's an interesting point in his career really.

In his prime, still under a good contract at midpoint, played well for us in his time here, put in some good performances at international level. He's sort of ripe for a move to a bigger club or for a better deal yet he doesn't ever seem to have been seriously linked with anyone that i can recall.

He clearly sounds settled and he's no doubt on a fat wage so not in a rush to give that up. Perhaps he has just found a level, a club and a homelife that suits and genuinely doesn't have a desire to seek something else at this point. As he says, he's had a pretty nomadic lifestyle for most of his career.

Would he extend in the summer if offered? Could meet those demands even if reduced terms?

  6. Certainly going to make the logistics of it all more complicated.

Hope the club already have plans in place.

I won't be attending for other reasons but wouldn't have a problem with it. Just need to allow a bit more time for getting in and have your passport at hand.

St Albans is a fun non-league trip from London. Went a couple of times when I lived in the capital. Good honest old stadium.

You know, hypothetically, I'm not even sure a Bristol derby would get selected for TV. It would stand a chance, but given the current state of the two clubs I doubt it would get top billing. Maybe tucked away on BBC red button or BT Sport 3 maybe?

Yeh if it did happen you could easily see our draw being surpassed by other fixtures.

Probably all moot as we'll get Blackburn away or similar i expect.

Hate same div fixtures in the cup.

  8. His natural one touch passing, with range and vision is 2nd to nobody at the club. It's the off the ball stuff and a lack of physicallity that is missing. Too often stood in space ball watching, waiting for it to come to him when we don't have it and whilst i think he did show willing to get close to the opposition on occastions today, i don't think he makes the most of that lanky frame in knicking the ball away. He's never going to boss a midfield but he should be making more of impact on the defensive side.

  9. Always been a big fan of Han and whilst he still has lots to learn he's played a lot of mins at this level already for a young'un. He's ceiling should still be quite high.

He didn't get a lot of game time under Holden, Pearson does seem to like him but i get the feeling he will see his medium term future somewhere else.

I think a lot comes down to the contract situation. Would not be surprised to see a move back to Ligue 1 in the summer if he doesn't extend.

You could argue it’s football violence - he’s on trial for attacking another manager. What’s the difference of fan attacking another to a manager attacking another manager?

I agree but would add that it didn't happen whilst at Rovers. That would go in his favour imo.
