  1. Wouldn't it be funny if after all this Derby were relegated. Here's to hoping.
  2. More chance of getting Daniel Sturrage than the better known Daniel Sturridge, I suppose
  3. Not sure what happened re allocation of tickets for the Brighton Chelsea experiment but my guess would be that for any test event the 1000 tickets will be allocated to those living within a 2/3 mile radius of Ashton Gate thus reducing the use of public transport. Living 70 miles away I expect to be at the back of the queue.
  4. So its alright for thousands of people to sit on Bournemouth beach and wander around the town at will. 100's mingling in town centres shopping and from September 30 kids plus a few adults compressed in small classrooms (indoors !!) but sports fans cant be trusted to act responsibly inside a stadium. Sorry but from someone who strictly adheres to social distancing I think it is more mixed messages from Government. I would quite happily return to watch live football if every second seat is left unoccupied, concession stands and toilets closed (so no queueing). Under the above guidelines I wont be attending if I have to turn up 3 hrs before...especially after a 2 hour journey to get to the ground in the first place.
  5. I wasnt at York but clearly remeber Hereford. I was working nights and have never run so fast back to the car for a quick drive to North Bristol after the game (if memory serves it went into extra time as well).
  6. You will get free streaming of those matches on Robins TV. There won't be any refunds imo.
  7. Haven't listened to the Talk Sport show but wondering if Big Cheese mentioned the cross I put in for him to score one of his trademark headers when he was playing as a 'ringer' for us in the Somerset Senior League one evening, late 80's.
  8. Why would anyone in their right mind put more money into Steve Dale's bank account. He did. And it has worked, he doesnt give two hoots whether or not Bury survive.
  9. From Planet Swans re Harries He's a bit like Fulton in that he looks heavy-footed and does clumsy/lazy things too often because he doesn't want to/can't shift his feet. He's got a great range of passing but takes time to find his rhythm and when he's put under pressure by faster, stronger players he winds up looking panicked and agricultural instead. Seems like the perfect player for the gas.
  10. Now you've just given them an excuse for their embarrassing numbers.
  11. Me too. Q What would encourage you to attend games earlier ? A. More Babestation shown around the ground.
  12. Reading between the lines of Coughlan's statement, I think he said he had taken the club as far as he can.....In other words he has been told by the board to forget signing anyone in January and prepare to lose your better players. Fair play to him for reaching the heights he did and as you say possibly even 2nd today if he had stayed but it seems there is only one way to go now (Just ask Status Quo). Football is cyclical and yes there will come a day when the mighty Teds will be without the Lansdowns but that day is a long way off (John Lansdown being a City fan following them home and away since a boy). Sorry to say it Miah but 4th / 2nd in the league and 3rd round of the cup may be as good as it gets for The Gas for many long years to come.
  13. Remember it clearly. Singing ‘sack the board’ and ‘where’s the money gone.’ Big demo at back of grandstand.
  14. To be fair they did have a decent side and beat a very good Leeds Utd team 2-1 in both legs of Champions League tie back in 92/93.
  15. Already losing to Bolton who havent won a game yet.
  16. Skeletel man on Talk shite just now......asked by either Hawksbee or Jacobs about Bristol City being in the play off places......I thought he was going to choke. He did manage a few good words about us and the stadium before stating that Bristol needs a club in the Premier league as City were there for only one season before plummeting down to the 4th division. Gas logic turning 4 into 1 ?... and on national radio
  17. Or it's been previously used and some of the pages have already been coloured in by real 5 yr olds.
  18. Funny how Bristolians stayed away from the cabbage patch during the Ashes but not from AG during the same Ashes series on 17th August. Over 21,000 vs QPR.
  19. Good let them all **** off to play one another week in week out. Leave the rest of us to play in a proper competitive league.
  20. Just been announced there are 3 bids in for Bury (according to the despicable Steve Dale).
  21. Didn't realise Salford was in London.
  22. I think Bolton's financial problems are more to do with the hotel side of the business rather than the football side. May be wrong but sure I heard this a few weeks ago on Talksport
  23. I have never understood the argument for 'bigger' clubs helping to rescue financially stricken clubs like Bury. They are where they are for a good reason. Would B@Q OR Wickes help to save Fred Bloggs DIY store on Bury High St if it was going under, no of course not. Hope they survive but looks too late now.
  24. Failure to fulfil a fixture always used to (non league) mean forfeiting the game 0-3. At the end of last season Bolton's final game was forfeited 0-2. This should be the same with a fine (which I know won't help if they can't pay it). That will stop the game being played later in the season with more experienced players. I would think any 18 yr old would gladly play every day of the week if required for a professional club in a big stadium. Total nonsense that the club are protecting them.
