  1. Not frowning. Blocked foreign investment. Venky' s have to put in a special appeal to release money.
  2. We weren't poor, and don't forget we were the only team to take a point off Preston for the first half dozen or so games of the season.
  3. I guess you've never played football yourself. Preston at H was played in a howling gale. Man City would have struggled in that. Please let's have some context. It was a poor match, but mot a dire performance.
  4. Not sure about Boro, but Blackburn are on the precipice of financial doom.
  5. The recruitment team including Tins I would guess.
  6. He had a right old go at TGH. Never a good sign of harmony, players arguing amongst themselves.
  7. Sounds like the makings of a decent League one side, being built.
  8. Same reason he was sacked a month later. The Lansdowns didn't like him.
  9. I didn't hear that being sung. The Leeds scum song followed on from the Bristol scum song from the away end. What do you suggest. "We all hate Leeds loveable rogues," instead.
  10. Haha most of the ground. There were about 50 in S82 His sarcastic finger pointing and swipes at the board were during the October international break, after he had been asked to resign. Fact.
  11. I take it your last paragraph is aimed at last summer.
  12. Personally think he should have changed at ht to 442. Take Tanner off, put Mcrorie at Rb, drop Knight back in to midfield and push Conway up alongside Wells.
  13. Or run 10 yards forward with the ball, straight into a trap, lose the ball and watch as a quick turn over ensues.
  14. But we did compete with them in October. Yesterday we just rolled over for our bellies to be tickled. That's why so much negativity. We are regressing.
  15. I expect the singing section fell asleep like the rest of us after about 20 minutes. Absolutely nothing on the field to sing or get excited about.
  16. Played Conway just behind Wells in a 10 1/2 role many times.
  17. Buy them on the OS, it's not sold out.
  18. Avon Bridge was awful half hour or so ago. Stay out of the nearside lane and join nearer Portbury services junction would be my advice.
  19. You, as much as anyone should know that Nigel didn't actually sign the large majority of those players. They would have been ones the club had been watching for a while and who's names would have been put forward to Nigel as possible signings if he wanted them. No way did he personally scout them and insist on signing them. In the same way the Manning was brought in as Head Coach so should have even less of a say over players brought in. Surely his remit is to coach the players presented to him and pick the team on a match day. In the same way that Swansea worked for years, the Head Coach is only there to maintain the style of play adopted by the club and improve players within that framework.
  20. Less than zero, I would imagine, but they may need to stand up and be counted before the season is out, if our current trajectory continues.
  21. Thanks but I think you will find I am not one to 'knock the club' and am and have been supportive over the years(see my posts of the past few years). I do hold the club i.e JL and SL to account for lying to us as fans and sacking an experienced coaching team long before their sell by date. There is a difference. Shame you are happy to lap up their nonsense and let them get away with it. You say we are moving in the right direction. I'm glad you are happy moving down the table but I would rather see progression upwards. Pearson had us 8th with a depleted squad and we had many decent performances this season (you obviously missed Hull A, Swansea A, Plymouth H, Leeds A) Just to repeat the mantra we were told, Manning was brought in to improve this squad this season. Bringing in his own player should improve on what he has done so far and kick us on towards the play offs, not be a patsy to appease the fans, as the project is backfiring.
