Everton keep conveniently forgetting that their losses initially amounted to £290 million.

Scott Twine - Loan Confirmed - No option to buy
Sir Geoff replied to Shauntaylor85's topic in Football Chat
Leicester, Southampton, Middlesborough, Sunderland, Leeds, Coventry all better imo. At least another 5 that are on a par with ours. Certainly anything but miles ahead of most in the league. -
Poll on the Lansdowns - Stay or Go?
Sir Geoff replied to The Constant Rabbit's topic in Football Chat
Said before. It's absolutely nothing to do with 3 points on a Saturday. Good luck to you if you are happy being lied to and having an owner with his bull sh ing son in charge of mediocrity and crass decision making. A large majority of fans have had enough of the Bristol Sport rhetoric, nonsense. -

Someone on another thread a few weeks ago mentioned the stadium being one of the best in the Championship. I highlighted at least 7 as good or better....Still waiting a reply. -
Liam Manning first 5 games- hopes and expectations?
Sir Geoff replied to Mr Popodopolous's topic in Football Chat
Wow, won't go down in a million years. That's some faith. Could be in the Championship a long time as I can't see us getting promoted in a million years. -
After the World cup break we beat Rotherham away 3-1 and threw away the home game to Stoke, Then the boxing day game v WBA. prior to the WC we held Watford 0-0 with Andy King at CH. Hardly playing awful.

Poll on the Lansdowns - Stay or Go?

Worse off like Cardiff who have had two spells in the top flight recently and Newcastle who were financially secure under Ashley, Reading also spells in the top flight. Charlton fans hounded Curbishley out when they were in the PL and they have never recovered. Man utd.. really -
What evidence have you seen in his body of work to date, as a coach leads you to the conclusion you make in your first line ?
-
Agree. We are still playing the exact same formation and making identical substitutions on or around the hour mark that we were doing earlier in the season. Nothing has changed except we are now worse to watch and have become the easy touch that Pearson eradicated.

Tinnion, Cotterell, Holden, LJ extended contract etc, etc no hindsight needed there. -

Were not talking about the 25 years previous to that though ( yes I remember people throwing their season tickets, at Les Kew, and a crowd forming at the back of the grandstand chanting,"where's the money gone.") Not too many rosy times being a city fan. -
Manning told the National press that he only had 9 full training sessions with the squad, since he arrived. Another lie. He had a full International break at his disposal when he must have put on 2 sessions per day. Beat me to it haha

Nothing to do with winning games. 25 years of poor decisions won't be rendered irrelevant by 3 points on a Saturday afternoon. I've been going since 1970 and voted out. -
Poll on the Lansdowns - Stay or Go?

It was 10 months ago and there were about 50 boneheads in the singing section chanting "Pearson out," during the WBA boxing day game. -
WSM Seagull ain't one of them. You are mis reading his posts. He/ she is as anti Sid and the Lansdowns as you and I.

Pearson played his hand after an International break. Before the International break he was asked to 'stand down' (mutual consent). Would you not be a bit peed off if you knew your bosses were asking you to leave, for no good reason ?

City are live on national television this Tuesday - its cliché time!
Sir Geoff replied to Curr Avon's topic in Football Chat
Bright young manager. -
Building a promotion capable squad takes time and money. As we had little headroom FFP wise it had to be small incremental steps. I am sure with a bucket load of money Pearson could have done the job in half the time. As it is he started, as you say by changing the culture. Next phase would have been to slowly build a better quality squad. Knight may well have been the first of that ilk. We will never know now but maybe there were another couple of Knights quality lined up, but the Lansclowns refused to spend the Scott money.

The points per game stats quoted by Mr pops are for this season.

Don't give a flip for the Bristol Sport stuff. BCFC is all I care about.

I am blaming the idiots at the top. My post was irony.

And played bl**dy well.

He was given the tools....a top 6 squad, and he's messing it up big time.
