  1. Certainly not in the top 5 stadiums in the Championship and probably only on a par with the next 5. I'd rather have good Football club owners with a clear vision. If you want stable owners go to Aintree. No one asked for a new beginning, we were doing just fine, thanks. 'Talented young manager' with only a relegation on his cv. Academy. Has produced a few home grown players, granted, but who is next. We were told there is even better behind Bell / Conway. Let's see. All clubs do good charity work Financially stable, thanks to RG and NP. Looks like we may have to dip into Steve's nest egg quite substantially to allow Manning the players required for his system. The rest of your points are......pointless
  2. See highlighted last sentence. After 20 odd years of 'twisting' it was time for the Lansdowns to finally call 'stick' and give us the stability and platform to give us a proper chance of achieving the play offs during the next 18 months. Instead they have rolled the dice yet again. This is what is causing angst amongst the majority of pro NP supporters on this forum.
  3. Absolutely NOT. I have a rather good seat in S21 and can sing from it as loudly as I desire, which I do at most home games.
  4. And three years from now we'll still be celebrating our amazing run from Christmas 2023 that got us promoted, along with the incredible decision of our superb owners to change manager mid season.
  5. Don't worry the change of manager was made to (quote) "Give us a better chance of promotion THIS season." You won't have long to wait.
  6. Think the owner believes they should be top 10ish not 4th from bottom
  7. Yes, Nige started him in the no.10 role a few times. Personally think he is more effective coming onto the ball rather than being static too far forward.
  8. I personally think Knight is a bit wasted playing so far forward. I appreciate he starts a lot of the presses from there but as you say it does leave us 'light' in the space behind. Was thinking Saturday we may have been a bit stronger if Knight had played deeper instead of James and Tommy played the 'Knight forward' role with Cornick ahead of him.
  9. Haha, you've all spent 2 1/2 years bashing Pearson for not making any loan signings then spend 15 minutes arguing that loan signings are not a good idea. Unbelievable!!
  10. Is that to turn a 'top six squad,' into a Premier League one ?
  11. Sir Geoff

    JASON EUELL

Presented by Kieren Maguire, as mentioned on POF, Thursday.
  12. That was totally on Vyner. He completely misread the pace on the ball. No way could Max come and claim that one
  13. Would actually have appreciated a bit if tippy tippy passing around the back, yesterday, to relieve the pressure and get hold of the ball. I thought Max was guilty of giving the ball away far too often by just lumping it forward. The result was it went almost straight back to their keeper and they immediately built another quick attack from the back.
  14. Didn't we go 2nd in the First Division after the 4-1 win against Sunderland. 2 wins, 2 draws from our opening 4 games.
  15. As a 14 yr old lad on holiday with his parents in Snowdonia I definitely listened on Radio 2.
  16. Blackburn ? Weren't they 8th or something in the Premier League when they decided Allardyce had to go.
  17. He wasn't after 1st September, but there was hope before that with a couple of decent signings on the back of selling Scott that we would have a 'chance'
  18. You must be reading a different forum, as I don't recall anyone expecting that type of football, although it was mentioned on FBC, when Manning was appointed. Oh and a certain Brian Tinnion, also mentioned it. We certainly weren't promised 'tippy tappy' football but that is what we now have. We were however promised an improvement in style. NP's style was fine and garnering a reliable standard of football that with a few tweaks (a couple of additions in the summer) would, I am sure, have seen us higher in the table than we are currently.
  19. Remind me but weren't we decimated by injuries, and if memory serves correctly we played the current top 3 and weren't rolled over by any of them, during that run.
  20. 8th when they decided to sack NP if we lost to Cardiff and 11th when it happened.
  21. Alf Ramsey did that once and look how that turned out.
  22. Should have no trouble keeping him here, to play for us then. (Just ask Jon / Tins).
  23. Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Manning take over a team that had been 8th a couple of weeks previously and was hailed as a top 6 squad. Pearson took over a sh*t show that had just been humiliated 6-0 at Watford.
  24. For a 20 minute period when the players had clearly had enough of the insipid football they had been asked to play. Manning then put a stop to it by taking off our best 2 players.
