Exactly this. On another thread someone said they could see small spells yesterday where we had improved. I'm still awaiting a reply to my question, "but what about the long periods where we were worse?"

I have nothing against Manning per se but he knows what he has let himself in for. For the record my ire was towards the Lansdown's when Norwich scored the winner. They got both fingers from me and a eff off Lansdown shout.

Beat me to it. I was going to start a similar thread. On the left, his body shape is all wrong when he receives the ball, necessitating 2 or 3 touches by which time the space in front of him is closed down and he has to go backwards. On the right he can receive the ball on his right foot touch it in front into the space and he is away. I noticed this at Southampton and was surprised he started on the left again today. I thought Manning had realised it was a mistake and switched him to the right only to move him back 5 minutes later. Crazy.

Good for you, love the optimism. I never predict which games are lose or win as just as likely to be the reverse of what anyone thinks. We could lose any or win any of them. At the moment with the injuries and the players adapting to a different 'style' I think we lack a bit of edge / quality to just get the results our work rate deserves. I'd be happy with 7/8 points. Hoping for 15 as I'm going to all the games.
