    Yup.

It’s notable that we’re one week from season tickets having gone on sale and despite there being two natural marketing points to tweet out - the winner of the free season ticket, and the  fact that telephone sales start today, it’s radio silence.

That says to me ticket sales aren’t where they hoped they’d be at this point.

And that won’t be solely on Manning - but he’ll - or more accurately his football - will be a large factor for many, and the lack of sales will focus minds in the boardroom. And that in turn adds pressure to both results and performance to incentivise people to renew.

To me, the game hasn’t changed despite what Latham may think. We get beaten (with no performance) by Leicester and then don’t beat a woeful Plymouth, I can see P45 next week. I don’t think he gets out of the woods fully absent a miraculous last eight games, but there will be a degree of wanting to do it before ST holders drift away.

The big problem for both Manning and the Lansdowns is that he has utterly lost the fanbase. No manager comes back from that. He will be gone next Autumn (sooner hopefully) unless his team start playing a style akin to Klopps heavy metal footabll imo.

Renewed today. Will continue to support the team despite the issues elsewhere

Well done that's a few more quid interest for SL, that you could have had between now and the end of April.

That WAS us, when we allowed Ashton to play player roulette and have random punts of players like Engvall 1.2mil, 4 games. Signing Szmodics when either LJ didn't fancy him as a player, or he was just too similar to other players we already had.

The Szcmodics signing was fine. It was the idiotic decision to spend £4 million or so on Palmer a few days later, that made no sense.

Never known Chris Honor to have his own opinion when sharing a studio/pod with anyone, he just goes along with what the other says and his failure to criticise anyone (constructive or otherwise) at the club is why he is miles and miles behind Gary Owers.

Thought the SOTC episode with GO and JP was like night and day compared to this pod. Interesting to hear different view points but you're right CH just went along with what was said. Richard Latham should have been challenged a bit mire robustly by Dave or Chris on some of his points, particularly the be careful what you wish for line comparing us to the gas.

Had to queue up at Eastville Sunday morning for tickets, queue stretched all the way past the station  (got South Enc tickets). I think the crowd was getting on for 30k .

I remember cycling from Brislington to Eastville with my mate early to mid 70's to buy tickets for the away end.

A few good memories of standing on the away terrace, looking over towards the old gas works and taking the pee out of the 'gas heads'

And people now complain about getting tickets online.

I think a big no. 9 should be one of the top things on City's shopping list this summer.

Before anyone flames me, someone like Chris Martin would be perfect. Not saying that City should go rob him from Rovers but he's the TYPE of player they could do with. Someone that holds the ball up, brings others into play and chips in with 10-15 goals themselves.

Trouble with that is, as we saw with Fammy, it's too easy an out ball for the likes of Vyner who will end up just lumping it long to to the big man.

I remember when we were at our lowest ebb in Div 4 we had a hard core of 4000 fans who would turn up for home league games no matter what. It puts into perspective our current 'problems'.

In what way does it out our current problems in to perspective ?

    Different era, different problems.

I was part of the 4000 whenever I wasn't playing on a Saturday and loved my football and the experience much more than now.

It doesn't matter which way you slice the cake, the comments made by the hierarchy have bitten them on the arse. If you honestly believe we could have had a tilt at promotion this season (I really don't without Nige being given funds) then they've made a terrible managerial pick, pretty much as bad as it could be. Otherwise only two options exist - they are either deluded or were being untruthful to fans on their reasoning for removing Nige.

Whether anyone in the local media will have the balls to ask them awkward questions, on topics that many fans would be interested in hearing the clubs views on, directly at the end of the season I very much doubt. It's one thing to go on a podcast or SOTC and start spraying veiled criticism all over the shop but when there is a chance you might lose your press pass if you ask them directly in press conferences and the like, all the previous bravery seems to all dissolve very quickly in this neck of the woods.

Yes RL came across very pro Manning but ended by saying he hated the style of football. Weird.....or still 'in with the Lansdowns.'

Watched about 7 and a half mins so far.

Latham raises some good points but doesn't understand the Financial Regulatory landscape very well. He also says half the division are in receipt of Parachute Payments which is outright incorrect. It's 5 clubs.

We could've afforded to keep one of Webster or Kelly for longer yes.

We don't have the balance right but it doesn't help when respected journalists put out on a Podcast misleading (unintentionally) or incorrect statements.

Don't get his negativity that we never had anything but a mid table team. Now talking about 'marquee' signings and spending half the Scott money. No fan wanted that. A sensible transfer strategy last summer using a quarter of the Scott money would have had us in the top1 10/8, still with a chance of the play offs imo.

To the best of my knowledge..

*EFL have will have received said Accounts otherwise they would be under Embargo for this..

*EFL will also have P&S Calculations for this season ie the Forecast otherwise they would be under Embargo for that.

*PL appear not to have received the actual Accounts for last year directly. Maybe the CFRU or the PL have shared with the PL Idk.

*Or at the very least the PL didn't receive them in their ideal timeframe. Hence the accusation there.

PL Rules stipulate that the EFL should receive them by 31st December if the Club is a Relegated one and I guess that will apply moving forward but I dunno whether they were caught in a no man's land.

However the EFL Embargo is due to an alleged breach of the Upper Loss Limit to this season based on Leicester and their own submissions.

PL have not recieved them which is why Leicester have been charged with an alleged breach.

  11. Just finished listening and thought RL was a bit contradictory in what he wants. i.e happy for LM to still be here in 3 years, but hates watching sideways and backwards passing.

Can't have both I'm afraid Richard. Do you want Manning and his style of football, or not.

Dave, why do you keep suggesting an older / experienced head in the dug out. Why not remove the cause of the problem and have that person as Head Coach / Manager. No point LM being there if the in game decisions are being made by someone else.

5th September 1998 a bad day at the office, city were away to Swindon and England were playing at 6pm sounds a dream day. We had had a request from our friends grandad, could we go to a pub he used on the way to Avebury to pick up some of his fave crisps, they had a picture of the uffington white horse on these crisps as far as I can remember, I digress, anyway we were 3 0 down early, in one of the most frustrating CIty performance's ever, we hit the woodwork four times and got it back to 3 2. Absolutely shocking. The day got worse when we pulled in the pub, they had a big sign, no football coaches, the bouncer refused us entry full stop, we explained the crisps situation and he told us to leave in a pretty unfriendly way, then we lost 2 1 to Sweden, not a day il forget tbh

Ha ha was it that long ago. Went to the Swindon game and found a pub 5 minutes away from the ground to watch England.

Actually also had tickets for the England game but had no intention of travelling, just needed them for extra points /caps towards tickets for the 2000 Euros.

I know Liverpool season tickets holders who have had them for over 30 years

they openly admit Liverpool don’t want fans like them that spend absolutely nothing in the ground

Pretty sure Liverpool are doing the same thing we are with the South Stand. If a seat isn't renewed then it will no longer be available as a season ticket.

City have no interest in maintaining the website with all news posted via social media forums such as Facebook and X. it used to be excellent with all sorts of features such as Away Days which gave accurate information on numbers of City fans at each game, the website gave accurate details of bookings, suspensions and injuries, players profiles were kept up to date etc. It's now not even good for player signings which are leaked long  before presented on the website

I appreciate its probably only a small percentage of fans but some of us have no interest in social media (Facebook, X and whatever else there is).

I now get my City news from this site. As stated there is always someone on here who will post info Either before its on the OS, or very shortly afterwards.

I couldn't see us buying a player from Derby and then loaning him back to them for the rest of the season, but it happened.  I can see the player being extremely demotivated though if Derby to get promoted, he would want to stay with them where they have the momentum.

Not when he realises what a great 'on the grass' coach LM is and how much he will improve as a player.
