  1. When I think of Stoke versus City, I remember two of my favourite goals. A Matt Bryant screamer at the Gate and a Tinnion special at Stoke. It would be great to have one of those type of goals tonight. COYR
  2. Glad he is back to full health. But worried he has got fit in time for another defeat at home!!!!
  3. I hope NP makes a full recovery like all City fans. But I hope while he is off that Curtis is given full control. And not simply be taking calls to implement NP's plans. How can that be effective when he is not at the club. He is off sick so forget football and concentrate on getting better. And leave Curtis to get on with the job and see what he is made of.
  4. The club has lurched from one crisis to another in the last couple of years with results and performance constantly heading downwards. There cannot be a coordinated and coherent plan/project being undertaken. I cannot see how this club is doing anything else but fire fighting at the moment. Desperate for stability and some consistency. When and if we achieve that then would be the time to have some sort of realistic plan to move the club forward. When we reach that point I have no idea and whether it is possible under Lansdown I have considerable doubts.
  5. How do you work that out. Lansdown has pulled the plug on financial support for new signings at City and the Bears. I reckon we will have to get on with what we have.
  6. Why would he join City. Unless he is losing his sanity. Nothing that has happened or will probably happen would attract someone who has been in the Premier League. And Lansdown wouldn't pay the necessary money to get him. He is leaving it all to Pearson and Gould and his son and showing little interest in what is happening and our slide in to league 1.
  7. Probably gone back to playing with his train set or crayons to design a new club badge.
  8. I would think he would not put up with some of the spineless bottlers that play for us and give the team a bit of fight and he is pretty handy in the transfer market.
  9. If he hasn't learnt by now what makes you think he will now.
  10. I wish I was as confident as you when you say the next 6 games look OK. I cannot see how this current team/squad could beat anyone, anywhere.
  11. Bears won again today and have moved up the table. After a poor start they are turning it around and they have a number of their star players out injured. We show no signs of improvement at all. And it just goes on and on and on.
  12. I don't think he cares too much about what the fans think. It is his club and he will do what he wants as he has told the fans before.
  13. I thought Pearson was supposed to have the team fitter than before. Nothing has changed. Pathetic.
  14. Pearson and Lansdown out. This is pathetic.
  15. What a thin squad we have when injuries happen. And weaknesses of certain players have not improved under Nige. We will need a miracle to get anything out of this.
  16. I hope it is sensationalist headlines but how do you see it possible to turn this squad around. Unfortunately Pearson seems unable to do it. And with no funds how is it going to improve.
  17. What savage irony when in spite of this we look like going down and will most likely be passed by Ashton and Ipswich going up. The ultimate kick in the nuts. The difference being they have backed their Manager and Lansdown has left Pearson and the squad to wither away. We will not stay up unless Lansdown spends some money in January or finds somebody who is prepared to. Just do something.
  18. The last couple of seasons he has let the club slide down and down. He left people in charge who are/ were not fit for purpose. His son and Ashton. And surprise surprise we are tumbling down the league.
  19. Pitiful. I have defended Pearson consistently but we are heading for relegation. Something needs to change or do the club just accept relegation.
  20. Yes that seems a strange one to understand. Like you say let's hope it works.
  21. You slag him off every time we lose and now we win not only do you give him no credit but criticise him again. Remarkable.
  22. Agreed and well done Nigel Pearson for getting us over the line.
