Maybe it'll be some blockbuster appointment that none of us see coming. One of the folllowing:

    Bielsa, Hassenhuttl, Lopetegui or Potter.

I'd still think Pearson merited the opportunity to see what be could do with some money medium to long term and as injuries returned hopefully short term, at least 3 of those are out of work.

In practice though would any of those remotely be happy to work under Tinnion for one.

Whether I believe any of the above, of just trying to post positivity to lighten the mood..

I imagine it'll be someone uninspiring, inexperienced or both.

I think your last sentence summed it up perfectly.

Average managerial ability! I would say he has demonstrated below average ability for the majority of his management career.

Sacking Pearson and appointing Lampard would be totally ridiculous. I'd be fuming.

I'd also expect us to tumble down the table.

I think that is a real possibility whoever we appoint as none of the candidates are better than what he had and indeed appear a down grade on Pearson.

  4. Thank you Nigel. You were building something here and changing the culture of the club. The fact you were not supported by Lansdown is a disgrace. All the very best for the future. The possibilities were there if you had been supported. The club will never move forward until the Lansdowns are gone. I hope the day is coming when that is a reality.

Sorry mate, I’m sure you’re a true city fan, but that’s totally over the top.  How many clubs would send their owner out to discuss an injury crisis?  Lots of guess work here, and “a spineless lack of leadership”?  Really?  How do you know what goes on inside the club?

There’s no ugly situation, just a side struggling with an awful injury crisis.

Last week there was also a very unhappy manager making his views known to the press because there was no one else to talk to.

God I hope we bring their fans down a peg or two..

'City will have to be at their best to even compete'. We've competed in every game this season including away to Leicester.

'Ashton finds himself in a different position than at Ashton Gate with much more competent people around him' err half of them came from Ashton Gate and WTF would the poster know about the rest of them

Too true. It would be great to beat them. And shove two fingers up to Ashton and Lansdown and some of their more arrogant fans. And whopping endorsement of Nigel and the work he has done.

Like many others I am of the firm belief I want Nigel to stay but with all that's going on at the moment it seems inevitable Nige will be gone soon.

Heard a lot of names thrown around just hoping It won't be someone like Rowett would like Eustace if Nige were to leave.

Cannot  even begin to understand someone who wants Nigel to stay, starting a post to see who people want to replace him. A great shame to see posts like these from our own supporters.

How the club haven’t extended it yet is beyond me, Lansdown has been happy with many managers before to keep handing out extensions.

Completely baffling how he thinks they would be able to find anyone better at the moment.

I agree. But I suppose given the incompetence Lansdown has shown in picking Managers then this latest fiasco just shows how totally unsuited he is, in making decisions that benefit the club in footballing terms.

Most telling thing in that pre match, is it sounds very much like there’s going to be no contract decision for Nige until the end of the season at best.

“up to the club to decide, but would suggest all the hard work that’s been put in shows that we’re starting to go in the right direction”

    Baffling decision.

I’m not calling Pearson a racist by any stretch as he clearly isn’t, but he does come across as a type of manager who likes hard working brexit means brexit type players.

I’d probably put a bet on that most of his signings, if not all, have been white British or Irish players.

I'd probably put a bet on that most of his signings, if not all, have been players we could afford and who he thought would be good for the club.
