Cardiff City away match thread
Engvall’s Splinter replied to Jerseybean's topic in The Havanatopia Match Day Archive
Really hope the young lad James comes through this unscathed. Would hate to see another Joe Low situation. What a struggle for Pearson in just having to name a Championship quality bench let alone the first eleven! Come on boys - real grit and determination needed today, with the more experienced lads leading the way. -

Tomlin’s there? -
Bloke was an absolute tool. Even for there standards. Classic gas fans that it’s taken them this long to realise he’s a belter.

No credit from Saturday? Or were you on the moon? Roberts was miles off on the weekend. -
I think we need an SL sub forum. That should do it.

Gabriella was getting results at Birmingham and got booted out when in the top 6. There is every chance with Lansdown. His train set etc.

What is everyone's manager choice if/when Nige leaves?
Engvall’s Splinter replied to MrRedRobin's topic in Football Chat
Nigel Pearson for me. I’m more confident he keeps us in the division under the current restraints than any other available manager. -
Are you John Eustace?
-
Out of interest, name them (the “lots” of them). And why they are “rated” over Pearson or how they would improve us. Genuine question.

To be fair to him, in this instance, it’s an unlucky event. These things happen in games / training especially if our training is an intense as a matchday scenario.

Remember one which was straight at him? -
Had a little chuckle when Dasilva was walking down the tunnel (either after the warm up or half time) and Nakhi jokingly pulled Zak away from him, not allowing them to speak.

Coventry City at home match thread

It’s funny how we all see the game differently. Thought we managed to get back into the game (sort of) when Knight game on. He’s a nuisance and whilst not looking 100%, pressed more in his short time on in the first half than TGH did for the whole of it. We looked so lacklustre for the first 30 minutes or so. The amount of time Coventry were afforded initially in the middle of the pitch was ridiculous and add to that the continual enforced errors it’s was a poor watch.. O’Leary looks so assured with the ball at his feet until he has to pass it. Second half we were better albeit far from great, however we had a hunger in and around our box to keep a clean sheet. The quality was not there at all today yet the endeavour to maintain a clean sheet, especially the last 15 minutes was. Dickie and King were good, as was Pring. The rest were anonymous. That said, it’s 3 points (with an injury damaged squad) and whilst it’s a difficult heart stopping watch at times, I’d take it if we continue to pick up 3 points ! Also - thought their number 7 was decent. -

Max O’Leary thinks he’s prime Hoddle I’m sure. -

Awful flat start. Yards off across the pitch. Look disinterested. -
What a strange comment from somebody obviously so senior.
-
Why?
-
Standard has definitely dropped over the last few years.
-
Perhaps you were too quiet …

It’s decent. Your spit and saw dust lounge up to the Lansdown suite, which is still considerably better than many other lower league hospitality venues. Not worth £90. Typically paid between £60-£70 on the few occasions I’ve used it. Usually get booted out after a pint following the final whistle. Season ticket holders in our group have typically got a discount.

Did I miss where it says its for men only? Ah in the original post

Think it depends what we want as a club. O’Leary appears an average Championship goalkeeper. Same as us as a team. When we really wish to push on, I think we’ll upgrade.
