Really? Easily our best defender. Puts his body on the line every game. Rarely gets outmuscled. He’s been immense for the majority of the games this season. Yeah he may have been at fault today, but that doesn’t make him shite. Top earner or not.

Whilst I don’t disagree that he is our best defender, he really doesn’t have much competition currently for this accolade.

I said even last year (when he appeared unable to hit a cow’s a*** with a banjo) that we should be playing him up front as he would clearly stretch teams. Not saying this to show what foresight I had (well I am a bit ?), but this has happened and the fact that his composure is improving is icing on the cake. If he’s here next season he’ll get 20-25 goals I reckon.

The change recently has been staggering. It does appear to of clicked. Got to love a City fan though - some positivity that ! ?

We’ve only had four penalties since 2020 and they get the same number in one game.

To be honest it’s taken us circa 18 months to start spending decent time in the oppositions box.

Theres no conundrum for me. I’d be picking Bentley every game.

Our good football has coincided with Semenyo’s return to the team and not Max’s inclusion.

We should be playing our best keeper.

Totally agree with this. Semenyo has helped us stretch the play whilst also giving the opposition defenders something to think about. Also, Scott and Massengo have started to settle and are in  form. Pring has now found his spot at LCB, whilst others have upped their levels slightly.

Bring Bentley back. Otherwise we may aswell play Joe Williams in goal for his footballing ability.
