Whilst Hampshire Red/Reds does post too often absolute tosh, I have started to fight an internal battle with Pearson and his status. I want him to succeed and on one hand understand the need for time, the mess that has been created by many of the senior leadership team, the journey we are likely to be on etc. He’s proven pedigree, most likely the most experienced person we could attract. But there are tiny doubts in there which on a gamely basis i am trying to resist. I hope we stick with Pearson, but I also want more on the pitch (although I dont think are squad is either suitably balanced or good enough - appreciate he needs transfer Windows).
Supporting Bristol City has never confused me further.

Got to be looking for a nibble there. Fair play.

I guess because it's another 10 Championship games. If we are then fighting relegation and performances are not vastly improved then I doubt very much indeed he'll be given until Xmas 2022 by anyone- particularly not the fans.
I think we have got the quality- at least enough to stay up but we currently dont seem have either the confidence or nouse to stay in a game. That has to be the job of the coaching staff.
Out of interest, as I read this quality shout a lot, what assessment or how much have you watched of the teams below us to know they don’t have the quality? Many of our players wouldn’t get in other championship sides - perhaps Bentley, Kalas only at the moment.
Also, football is more than quality. It’s determination, self motivation, the will to win especially when the chips are down. At the minute I don’t see much of that from a few of our players. It only takes a few and the impact is huge.

Regardless of how much money the current owners have - how are they liable for what happened X amount of years before their time? (Genuine question)
We have this with governments having to apologise for the mistakes made by others 50+ years ago. Offering compensation even.I have sympathy with people who have been affected by such crimes and hopefully Bennell gets some form of comeuppance in prison, I really do. Yet if Man City were Bury FC I doubt this would be being pushed for compensation so many years down the line.

What an absolute pile of bullshit that statement is. What does it even ******* mean?
It means we’ve wasted a substitution, bringing off Tanner for an ageing Simpson who’s somewhat past his best. Not that hard to understand?

No funds , shit remaining players. What do people expect we are on a downward spiral and have been for a while.
Agreed. But I don’t expect vanity substitutions. Tanner for Simpson. What a waste.

Goodridge / Akinbiyi

Would’ve kept him on. Appreciate the stretching of the game / better pressing (allegedly) shouts but the guys can finish. Has a history of it. Should’ve left him on. Unless he had a niggle of course.

I get this.
In six months there should be a tangible improvement in fitness levels. Britton, may have started under Nige massively unfit (why, academy coaches?). He should now at least be capable of sustaining 10 minutes of Championship level football.
So, there should have been a choice between putting CoD on or Britton off the bench for the last 10. Not a difficult one is it, particularly when you constantly play the ‘hit and hope’ high balls. …although that’s another debate.
Why the hell we didn’t tap into the loan market or just get someone out of contract for free is beyond me. Martin is being flogged to a standstill, literally. If Nige is playing the ‘high ball, hold it up’ game then you need a second big bloke up front to alternate with Martin.
Absolutely. If you are taking Wells off and in a game where the ball is not sticking, put someone like Britton on. Can do no worse.

He’s made this comment a few times now, but I don’t see any players left out
Perhaps because he’s unable to owing to others having worse application and ability ?

We should have had a clear pen at 1-0 and we hit the post at 1-0. So maybe we had a bit of bad luck.
But they should have had a pen too after that.
The winner was handball. So didn't really get the decisions overall.
But was more impressed with Forest than I was us. Though it is an improvement. We still can't keep the ball very well.
Agreed. It’s not going our way. I thought the lads worked hard. You could see them busting a gut at the death to get back behind the ball.
Wrong decision to put COD up top. don’t understand that. Wells is a well known threat (despite his recent form).
Home form is crap. Nige has questions to answer but this season was always going to be a huge scrap. Our squad is poor. His hands are tied. Need to stay in the division.

Far too much time and space in the middle of the pitch. Miles off.
