I reckon tonight’s the night. Forest are in form, hugely fancied no doubt. We are fresh from a wimpy performance at the weekend. With Pearson’s words ringing in there ears, this is it lads.
Get your money on us.

As a kid I wrote “Superbob” multiple times on my bedroom curtains as a kid, in honour of my favourite player. I don’t remember having tea that night.

We’ve made it to the semi final and final of the last two tournaments - is that evidence of how Southgate has “hindered us previously” ... ?!
Whilst I appreciate you still have to get there and they are “achievements”, we pretty much had home advantage during the Euros. Until Italy, the highest ranked side we faced were Denmark. At the WC we had a glorious route to the final before coming up against proper competition in Croatia.

I think he was spoilt for choice about who to take off!
Yet took Grealish off who arguably appeared the most likely to create us something.

At home, against a bunch of fascists with nothing to play for, he's entitled to pick one less defensive midfielder and pick an attacking one instead.
The rest is down to the players.
Disappointing result, against an entirely negative opponents, that still lives us in command of our own destiny.
I’m not knocking the decision to start Foden deeper. I’m talking about his substitutions. Southgate’s inability to make the right changes and at the right time, has hindered us previously and will continue to do so.

And that's a fair point and especially in NLGs where fans can be literally be stood next to a managers. It does appear from his statement that he's accepted it likely did come from the dugout.
As someone who's been in management in Western league, I'd be making it clear that if I'm to get booked for someone saying something, I want that someone to be me and not someone sat on the bench behind me. (That's a lot of 'someone's')
Who’d you manage?

I think there are valid concerns about the risk of a club being effectively owned by a country with a poor human rights record and both the message that sends out and the damage it could do to the reputation of the league.
However they are extremely strange claims for the Man City owners to be making…
True. But I did read that they also have stakes in Uber and Facebook to name but a few - would imagine many complaining will continue to use those services / platforms almost daily without realising.

Little chuckle at the 19 other clubs who are rumoured to have complained about the takeover (including Man City). Laughable. Each club is very much in its own bubble in that league.

Some skill that. Fair play to him, wasn’t expecting it. Book, cover and all that.

Yes we will still have the odd poor performance but so long as we have more days like today and look like we are improving as a team and a club, then surely it's time to admit that Nige is the man to take us forward.
To be honest I would suggest 99% are behind him. Most acknowledge our current financial situation and the need for steady stabilised progression. Slow progress but feel it’s more solid and will be longer lasting.

Cannot wait for David Brent’s interview.

The main reason I rarely comment on the match day thread . Everyone’s a ******* expert when the teams announced
plus the one or two that have crawled out of the woodwork after one defeat in 6
Everyone an expert or has an opinion? Would be pretty drab on here if no one shared their view.

Our bench lacks quality.

The only real change is a switch from Martin to Wells. With Wells possibly injured we are somewhat stuck. I still wouldn’t mind having Britton on the bench - even if it’s to allow Martin to bust his balls for 75 minutes a game. Not saying his the “saviour” but some support for Martin who’s being flogged again !
-
On a positive note, think Tanner has done well. Will grow in to a steady championship full back I’m sure. Bentley again giving us a chance to nick a point. Cam Pring also developing well for us.

Scott has looked a couple of times at the bench to come off it would seem.
