Liam's up all night (watching games, analysing stats, modifying "behaviours") so's we Get Lucky -
... had a pop at Delia. Chucked a beer can at her car as she turnt up. She is 82. At least when we roughed up one of the Nolans in 1984 she was in the mood for the prime of life (and it was Saturday night, which was fer fighting back then), not a pensioner. Which one was it? Not Bernie. The drummer? Anyhow, Ipswich: top team, crap mob.

My concern is that we do not move our feet enough, when on the front foot we don't get forward far enough to get to the pitch of the ball, too often getting caught on the crease. And we don't know where our off stump is. Nice ramp shot from TGH the other week, though.

Where's that Moyesie banner from Wemberley '87 - "On the 8th day .... " might be worth digging that one out

You should've read the Birmingham pink Sports Argus that day, that season (we used to pick it up on the way back from games up north), some twonk called Brian something or other, had a column, he couldn't get his head around Bristol City beating Birmingham, and Bristol City being top of the table instead of Birmingham. Fork knows what he makes of Luton being above Birmingham, and Bournemouth, Brentford, Brighton, Fulham ......

Supports Man City, mate

We have long had a big following for a big day out in the cup, up London. Going back to before the First World War.
-
It took a while for Bristol coach drivers to get the hang of that new-fangled orbital thingy they built round that London...

Scabby goal, scabby win that. Scabby away following, they had just the one third of the Open End, and that wasn't exactly packed to the Mike Rafters. It's where the term the "Few" came from, their crap numbers in the 80s, until they started doing well

Has he not though lifted them to previously unscaled heights? Something Steve has absolutely failed to do with us.
-
There will be one, at least, that arrives at half-time.

Don't think I'd've done this at Upton Park, but at the new ground, why not?

Football Dreams (or nightmares)
Bristol Oil Services replied to Open End Numb Legs's topic in Football Chat
I dreamt about @Davefevs last night (funnily enough), and I fell out of bed twice (was something to do with stats and charts and analyics and stuff). Many years ago, I had a dream in which I was arguing furiously with Everton's Graeme Sharp. True story. As Evertonians go, he doesn't strike me as the most furious, or even argumentative. Strange. -
The Gaffer speaks after tonight’s defeat
Bristol Oil Services replied to RedLionLad's topic in Football Chat
"The gaffer speaks .... tonight" there's a song in there, somewhere. A win away, a win away, a win away all want is a win away Hush my babber, don't fear my babber The gaffer speaks ... tonight In the shambles, the mighty shambles The gaffer speaks tonight Weeee heeee weeeeeoh win away A win at home, a win away Etc, and so on -
... and @77 punk and (appropriately) Paul Simonon. Happy Birthday all!
-
We were (all) so much olderyounger then ....
-
I think we dropped @77 punk off at the Hacienda after that one so his recall might be sketchy. Think he and that @EnclosureSurge and @Bez/Deano spent the next 36 hours there. Not sure the Hacienda was ever the same, not sure @77 punk ever made it quite back from there, either. Although, I believe the Hacienda is no longer with us while @77 punk is due Many Happy Returns tomorrow. Happy Birthday @77punk

Nope. It's Hornby (going around, and around, in figures of 8)
-
Steve's a self made billionaire? Who's this Hargreaves chappie, then?
-
Do Ipswich have a top two/auto promoted squad? Do Preston have a top seven squad? Did Luton have a top six squad? It's unlikely that we will ever start a Championship season in August with, on paper, a top six squad, like many other of the clubs that managed to win promotion from this level whilst not being a PP club. I suppose JL's looking for us to out-perform our limitations because there's no other way we can ever be successful at this level, and therefore no other way of flogging the club for a price they are wanting.

Will be sold, next summer, presumably?

Separating the truth from fiction (I’m encouraged)

Top end answer, as ever Dave -

"Top end" isn't 11th, that's "top half." So, "top" is 1 - 12 and "end" in football terms, is 1 - 6.
