  1. Shaking like milk is my preferred metaphor - and lyric - here
  2. This is nothing, 1980 - 1983 knocks all this into a cocked-hat
  3. But they could simply let his contract run its course and not renew, that would be acceptable. It happens with players. Thing is, leaving it until next summer then looking for a replacement wouldn't be best for Bristol City. If the club are not convinced Nigel is well enough for another 2 or 3 years, is it ok for them not to renew?
  4. But if they are concerned Nigel isn't well enough, then saying "we want to go in a different direction" is not honest, is it? Is it legitimate for Bristol City to be concerned about Nige's health when weighing up the next two or three years?
  5. That would see his career going like this: Norway Swansea/Championship Brighton/moving up Prem Chelsea/Europe Bristol City/15th Championship (but with a "nest egg") I can't see it meself, but .... what do you think?
  6. Yes, absolutely. Almost always, in fact I cannot think of an exception, national media only do puff pieces like the guardian in summer of 2017 did with a beaming pic of SL and LJ after we avoided relegation, which was pretty much SL saying: "I was right, the moaners were wrong," then the nationals were back again after we beat Man Utd and they lapped up all the "we call ourselves a PL club in waiting" including a mention of the poster on the wall outside Ashton's office about running towards adversity, or Ipswich, or whatever it was. Henry Winter is just as bad, just puff, when there's something nice to say. Nothing when the shambles inevitably returns. SL has got away with it, as far as national scrutiny goes. If we had reached the Prem I don't think he would've enjoyed some of the coverage and comments and analysis of the club, assuming we would have struggled and been exposed at that level, on and off the field.
  7. There was one easy pass to wide left, that was it I think
  8. You think, on the afternoon our hapless owner bins off Nige, you could do better than: 1. List a few players we have sold. 2. Suggest Warnock. 3. Start talking about Biff. ?
  9. When's the BBC Radio Guernsey phone in, anyone know?
  10. I would like to hear @GrahamC phone in but he would probably launch into a tirade about Laura Kuensberg, and he only listens to TalkSPORT anyhow ....
  11. That was poor, Kid. You've got some credibility to restore on here now
  12. He tends to overdo it on a Sunday, better off calling Radio Local tomorrow
  13. Listening to Pick of the Week with Pat Nevin, let us know when Kid is on
  14. Wade into Sutton while yer on there ....
  15. What did you expect "for it" given the slashing of wages, cuts, shopping in L1 and 2, number of academy rookies playing in first X1, etc?
  16. It would be more fun if we could suggest unrealistic - Graham Potter? - options though, but we can't sadly ....
  17. But "don't get too attached to players," I remember that one, from one who grew up not getting attached to anything in football. Don't "feel" anything, just buy a ticket/beverage/dreadful merch, and keep yer opinions/"noise" to yer self
