  1. They got through via play-offs, and ended up in the final, didn't they? Which they lost, actually, so, no, you're right: a rubbish Germany, tbf
  2. Reckon Earpsie had some idea how busy she would be this afternoon .....
  3. They are choosing to focus on the lack of action taken against Man City and Chelsea, so that they can be outraged and furious, rather than pay attention to the likely relegations they avoided at the expense of Burnley, Leicester or whoever it was, so that they need not not feel guilty/scabby and ashamed.
  4. There used to be 'Red n White night' or something, what about a 'Shut the **** up night' where Downsy shuts the **** up and there's no blaring music no-one goes to Ashton Gate to hear anyway?
  5. Gonna be some eggy Evertonians this evening, which is saying something because they wake up every morning absolutely raging. D'bizzies will be busy up there tonight, for me.
  6. "You hypocrite, first take the plank out of yer own eye and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from yer brother's eye (on otib)" John 3:16 (or possibly Matthew 7:3)
  7. Yeah, bit tedious for the first 35 minutes, then better for the last hour
  8. Loaded his guns ok but then runs off home for his tea (for me)
  9. Ok, but have you been nawty, or nice? You weren't very nice to that @W-S-M Seagull the other day, I noticed
  10. Top: the highest part or point of something End: the extremity or outermost part Top end: the highest part or point of the extremity or outermost part Nest egg: an amount of money that has been saved for a special purpose ie the bit where you are at the highest part of the outermost point, or 'there or thereabouts' at least .....
  11. Couldn't get in? Couldn't get in the car park?
  12. They drew Arsenal in a two legged League Cup R2 tie in 84/5. I would imagine pre-season friendlies might be part of the total
  13. If you paired Ed Sheeran with Paul McCartney, though .... or George, not quite so bad. I'm not sure John fares quite so well solo as he did as part of a band. A centre half called Julian though, that's very Bristol City; you don't catch Sheffield United, Burnley or Stoke (or Wolves, or Millwall) with defenders or centre halves called Julian (Julian Dicks being the exception that ....)
  14. I cannot reveal my source, my albeit unforthcoming source. I wouldn’t want to lose the confidence of a source, even a tight-lipped one. Difficult place to go, Troopers Hill, tbf, so fair play GrahamC. I only jest, of course.
  15. You "knew where the goal" was, Graham, let's have it right. You knew this because you were always hanging around, where the goal was (which never moved)
  16. I cannot reveal my source, that told me nothing
  17. I can hereby inform otib that I have only just, not half an hour ago, spoken directly, face to face, in a supermarket car park, to someone that works closely with the First X1 on a daily basis, and asked that person if they had "any news," and that person said that no, they didn't have any news.
  18. Doing ok, Luton. A bit better than "progressive" Burnley, with all their passing it out from the back (assuming they are still trying to do this).
  19. This ^ is the Steve Lansdown era Bristol City, isn't it? Steve's inadvertent "philosophy," and ultimate legacy. How many Championship seasons is it now?
  20. Keith Hackett? That's Keith Hackett, born in Sheffield, just to add some detail
  21. What's yer forecast? I reckon it will be for the most part (disappointingly) mild, with any storms soon passing overhead and quickly fizzling out. Tepid. A bit of hot air but no flood. No red weather warning. Despite people ringing in to (otib) to say there's a hurricane coming to BS3, don't worry, there isn't. Mind, if Sheff Weds take an early lead ....
  22. From far away, Stays for a day, Then has to bugger off quick sharp else there's tax implications ....
  23. Remember to warm up first, I suggest the Nova Scotia. Else you pull a hamstring. Or a vocal chord. You might need a hymn sheet too, so there's a bit of singing from the krek one (not the one from 84/5). We could get a Bermuda call-and-response type triangle thing going between you, @GrahamC and that @EnclosureSurge (who will need to invitation, or popular boss sacked). This is going to be some occasion! Sheffield Wednesday will be like: wtf's going on here?
