  1. I hope the bit in bold happens as it generally isn't working with him isolated up top (West Ham aside) and he must be feeling a bit anxious that his own aspirations are being diminished. His game has been about getting across defenders and on the end of crosses or cut backs and that has dried up. Hopefully, with Twine involved, it may give us a bit more variety in attack.
  2. I think thats a subjective view from Dave. You could say that for any game, the only objective measurement is the number of tickets sold, rightly or wrongly. To put it another way, the record number of tickets sold at AG (other than concerts) is held by the Bears.
  3. I scanned the bar code as did the people in front of me with no problems. Didn't even think to use the QR code.
  4. I think the Bears have the record attendance at the "new" Ashton Gate 26,399. Segregation for football means its unlikely we can surpass that, but we had just over 26k for the League cup quarter and semi finals so I would assume that would be the most we could cram in ? The Atyeo did look quite full and I was surprised it was only 3,338 announced.
  5. Some who couldn't attend sold their tickets back to the club. S18 is the Heineken Lounge seating so if that wasn't sold out, that would come up late as well. Attendance was 25,616 so not a total sell out.
  6. Both Vyner and Max were a bit dodgy tonight and agree that Tanner was excellent. MoM for me was Williams, closely followed by Tanner. Just had a quick scan of their forum, jeez they're a salty bunch - apparently our boys are thugs especially Williams (Max got a few mentions for being dodgy), but its like we're not supposed to touch them. They were a soft bunch of prima donnas and didn't like it up 'em. We simply fancied it more than them and I was quite surprised at just how ordinary they were, like another Championship team. Great atmosphere, the fans were up for it as well, completely outsung the West Ham lot who seem to have a very limited repetoire cosisting of come on you irons and that dreadful bubbles dirge. Great night.
  7. I was hoping LM wouldn't tweak it too much, but he has gone off piste. 5-3-2 I think.
  8. Winterstoke road fine coming from the miners.
  9. Is that you Uncle Bryn ?
  10. Admit it, you love these sort of threads don't you
  11. But its his view as well. As you and others have said more than once, its a forum for views and opinions. Not everyone is able to articulate their views as well as some others (not that I'm saying the person in question is unable to do that).
  12. Well, he's only about 5'4" so I don't know why he keeps on about it.
  13. I've not been to Leicesters ground, but the others, in terms of facilites, are nowhere near as good as Ashton Gate imo. Leeds facilities are disgraceful, like going back to the 70s and the ground is falling apart. Boro located in an an industrial area, nothing there, Coventry in the middle of nowhere, nothing there. Anyway, wrong thread for this...........
  14. That last bullet point sums them up. It should be saying "....as club look to move into League One", but no, its all to do about closing the gap on us (which they have no chance of doing).
  15. Looking forward to the game, but a bit apprehensive. We need a good start and can't let them start like they did last game, we could be out of the game in 20 minutes. Shame about their holiday, hopefully in their heads they are on the beach anyway.
