  1. My first ever game v Spurs Jan 1979.

I think 32000 and watched Ossie and Ricky Villa.
Loved watching Glenn Hoddle as a kid as well, the goal against Arsenal is unbelievable in the late 70’s.

As for my favourite spuds it used to my mums roasters. However Cheungs chip shop by the Sange (briz)used to do scallop potatoes.Splash of vinegar.boom.

The Bloomfield chipper used to do scallop potatoes but it now closed.

Anyone else know these items of loveliness are still available.I’m sure they are fairly vegan so shouldn’t offend anyone.

  2. Football is so sanitised these days it’s unreal imho.

However for someone to suggest that everyone is going to go mental ,sniffing dental gum powder(coke) and start behaving like Adolf Hitler because they are standing at football match these days is on a different planet.

I suggest the old bill need to look at their own first after recent events.ACAB.

Quick question - if Rovers are such a tinpot club, why do we spend so much time discussing them. including their most recent game with Accrington? Over 3000 pages is a little embarrassing TBH.

If we were genuinely massive, as our players and fans used to claim ad nauseam, we would have bigger things to worry about.

    Just saying.

Because the club you support gives us great pleasure in all the numptiness shown almost on a daily basis .This is in spite of  the might reds Bristol‘s real people’s club being a bit under the weather recently.

    Off u go now there’s a good boy/girl/they/ Gashead ***

The way this was phrased I was expecting the word used to just be a swear word.

To then read you're disappointed that someone has been punished for being a bigot is pretty damning.

Yes times have changed. For the better. Homophobia, transphobia and Racism have no part in "banter". And quite rightly. We still have some way to go, it wasn't all that long ago as a teen I remember joining in with chants at Freddy Eastwood "the wheels on his house"... having grown up and learned more about the hate and prejudices faced by the RGT community I feel shame that I ever thought that was acceptable.

I think it's important we all accept our unconscious biases and how they manifest in the way we talk. Terrace culture should be a means to unite ourselves around the values that make Bristol the best city in the world. Tolerance, self deprecation and humour. A fierce and formidable loyalty to each other, our club and our city. It doesn't have to spill into hatred.

Except the Gas. I hate them...

I totally agree with the last line of your post.I would add I really really hate them as much as I hate plant based food .Sorry for intolerance about plant based foods.I hang my head in shame

  5.

I really am trying to take my anti-Welshness out of the argument BUT,there is always a but.

He scored against us in the Euros in ??.Well good for him even Iceland did - Twice!!!

When in Spain he beat a nobody on the touch line and sprinted a bit and scored- so ******* what I’ve ran and scored goals back in the 70’s playing forHolymead Juniors!

That overhead kick against the scousers in the Champions league final - ok everyone can get lucky once- especially when you earn enough to buy new golf clubs every day!- Pele’s in Escape to Victory was better anyway .

Glad he now enjoy his golf and we now don’t have to any endure anymore BBC/ITV ****-marathon about how lovely it is for the sheep shaggers to be at a major tournament.

And his hair, his ******* hair.As least Beckham was a bit of a dude but his stupid top.WTF.

    not a fan.

  9. To be fair to  Mrs Barton I can’t remember everything when I’ve been on an all dayer. However if I’d been allegedly been booted in the face by my beloved I’m sure I may have had a slight recollection.

  10. A very average performance today maxjak and totally agree with your sentiments.

It really is up to Nige/ coaching staff and players to basically make our Saturday evenings more enjoyable than coming on here moaning and groaning.

Im even watching Strictly ffs!!! (While moaning on here)

Im with Nige and off to Reading but soon if performances and percentile box entries don’t improve then I got a feeling the peasants will start revolting.

Tony Adams on soon hopefully his performance will cheer me up.

Anyhow boys girls enjoy your evening .
