  1. I’m not a great lover of the geezer it must be said.

The way he always taunts us when he has scored against us is bizarre. As far as I’m aware he came on loan didn’t play and then started being Ronaldo against us ? Why his hate - bizarre .A bit like Cunningham as well from that era.Very weird.

However it’s better to be pissing out of the tent than in and if Semenyo is off then he is a good replacement and my love for Callum will grow as much as love for Cheddar Valley, well not that much.

Over the yrs we’ve had bull and much,Tommy tynan ,Dave ******* kelly, who use to score with abandon against us so apart from Bully the others were at various time at our level.

Again I wish we keep our attack BUT if the lure of the prem comes knocking my new hero CB isn’t bad imho.

coyr and see u at the Wedlock’s Bar later?

  2. Today was good IMO despite the early kick off.I’m up with kids in the Lansdown and even a few coyr up there.

Ive been to a lot worse games at 3pm in recent yrs.

Perhaps we now can see progress and a game plan

  3. Excellent today (again) and what a cross for Tommy. The dynamic has changed but we are still scoring goals.

That imho is down to Nige and the coaches, plus the players buying into working hard for the team .

The LJ/MA days are slowly coming to an end.

To be fair O’Dowda did. more today in one game than most seasons. He didn’t run up to half line and then turn around and run back at full pace once!

    coyr

  4. Really pleased with the performance today especially with another clean sheet!!!

my only gripe was the Lino on the lansdown side in the first who was ******* usless.(I know he flagged for their goal )

Back in the the enclosure days they (we)would have given him loads but not a whimper today.I’m up top with the kids trying not to swear too much.

Apart from that we were excellent today. We were mostly on the front foot and gave it a right good go.Congratulations to all the coaching staff and team and the fans??

Kal Naismith taking corners?. Coaches overthinking imho especially if the ball doesn’t go into the box!He then has a bit of running to get back.

Finally well done Zak Vyner. He did. every thing well today as on Tuesday (ok one sliced kick) - let’s give the man a break.

Cmon u reds and enjoy your evening fellow reds ?‍♂️??

  5. I did read that he is a church going chap.
My goodness he must do some praying at night the foul mouthed lunatic.

I would love to know what his heart rate is during a game.He seems possessed whenever I’ve seen him on screen during games on sky.

Anyhow I can’t speak especially when we’re losing plus I’m meeting a mate tonight for cheddar valley at the Wedlock’s bar??

  6. Such sad news .

So many memories of the funny man especially on Shems coach and trains up and down the country.

He always came past us in the Wedlock’s bar pre match and a handshake here a handshake there.Almost like an audience with the pope.

    R.I.P funny man

fav jokes “ don’t smell like come to me”

and the one almost coming home pissed up and his mrs snoring

    top man.

There is a clip on YouTube proper vhs camcorder like but great xxx

  7. Oh what a night ? If junior and Liam Robinson hadn’t missed absolute sitters we would have had the cigars out fairly early.

That save from Elvis was unreal near the end.Very close to the Hereford semi final for me to be best night of watching city.

I also went to Forest 89 and being with my boys to beat Man Utd was superb.

Actually looking back most of the amazing moments of me watching city have been evening games.Aldershot/palace/Hartlepool Louis donowa

Cant wait for the season Coyr.Gonna listen now to podcast. Thanks for putting it together.

TBF, that is a wonderful chippy......real beef drippin !

One of the best meals Ive ever had pre/after match at football.I want us to get relegated to go back.

The fish n chips right outside Grimsby were top notch  as well.Another game we clutched defeat from the jaws of victory.Early 1990’s .1-0 up around the 85th minute then the usual 2-1 defeat.

The fish n chips made up for it though as did the night in Ashby de la Zouch.

Another great meal was the kebab shop not far from the slip road going back home on the m4 at Brentford.Likewise Walsall m5 south.

As for in stadium meals Notts County back in the day I can remember getting a pie chips and mushy peas with gravy obviously which should have got a Michelin star.

Rotherham / Wigan (their old grounds) meat and potato pies would grace a Champions League final.

However the chart topper for me along with any  drunken traveller staggering back to Paddington after another heavy defeat is the kebab shop .Up the incline first right first left then a few shops along.Opposite a pub (the pride of Paddington?)

The worst was a dodgy pasty at Somerton Park in the 80’s.A night game I went with my mates from school.Threw up on the station back at Temple Meads and was off school for 3 days.God knows what was in it and which century was its sell by date.No doubt kept specially in some cellar for the English? the *******!!!

    Camped at Sibarp in Malmo.

    Locals named it camp hell.

    Sort of Carry on hooligan.

Within 48 hrs of Englands boys arriving at Sibarp was a no go zone for the police.

    England fans were stealing vehicles.

    Turning over the taxis.

    Burned down the campsite offices.

Chased the fire brigade off the site.

    Looted shops in the area.

All to a techno sound track.

Then came Stockholm and more carry on including the help yourself to free Stone Island shop.

Carry on free stone island ?after the game I saw some bloke stealing the T-shirt off the dummy in the smashed window.

It was dodgy big time after the Swedish game. They won the game as well the gits

    Yeh, we went.
Camped in tents in a big park (always travelled 5 star back in those days!) in Stockholm for a few nights, well dodgy. Sweden had a firm called The Black Army or something (skinheads) and were looking for small groups of England fans to pick off before the Sweden game. The OB encircled the whole park to prevent a full scale toe to toe breaking out. Few hundred England but sounded like a lot more Swedish. They were protecting us!

Remember there being a lot of scousers there, plotting up/ on the thieving, big mobs who were robbing all the smart shops in Stockholm. Got some old photos of the trip somewhere and will dig them out one day. Think we got the choo, choo to Stockholm but my memory is fooked. I remember England lost and we left the ground early to wander in to a fall scale clash between England and the OB outside whilst the game was still going on.

Was at Italia 90 also and following England in those days was never boring. Just glad I survived it looking back. Always plenty of City away with England in those days. Several still post on here.

When we got to Stockholm on the overnight sleeper on the Monday we ended up getting accommodation on the sea/river front in an old prison apparently.
We then went up to their equivalent of the downs with a massive beer tent- a bungy jump and these 2 stalls with these local hooligans firms standing about.I think it was the black army and the blue saints. As more English arrived it did kick off around midnight and I think after it was shut down but a local lady had taken pity on me so had escorted to her gaff.

Yeah I was there the tents by the sea in Malmo were nice but who decided a quarry outside of Stockholm was a knob. The media were determined to find fighting somewhere. The only punch ups I saw were on Sky tv. Went to Goteborg for a night out with the Jocks which was fun. They were good sports and despite wanting us to lose as much as we did them we were made welcome. Helped by the fact we knew some local chicks mind you!

When we to Malmö and was sent to the tents by the beach a bloke with a city flag said we could store our bags until we found a hotel. If that was you cheers again.

tobe fair the local chicks in Malmö and Stockholm stepped up to the plate and help us home sick English boys out - 3 in 6 nights ?
