Have you actually spoken to the club about this at any point in time ? By that, I mean face to face with the relevant personel.

Once the new CEO is in place then I will be sending emails to see if I get any feed back and I will give my honest opinion. I shouldn't have to email anyone the club should know how important an atmosphere is!! Pearson does....

Well I dont agree because other clubs seem to handle it alright, our fans are no different to typical clubs.

Look at other grounds and the levels or otherwise of segregation.

Exactly our club is ******* useless at it. I've been to enough away grounds to taste good atmosphere... Look at the Manchester Derby the weekend man city and utd fans right next to each other plus load of standing supporters in the home end. The club's just full of excuses because they don't want to manage it.

At other clubs they have half time entertainment; penalty shoot outs, youngsters playing a game, crossbar challenges.

At Bristol City we announce deaths.

I was saying the exact thing at half time no disrespect to those that pass but it's ******* depressing..

Weird how people want our best players to go when we're in a relegation battle!

Dont think we have a lot of choice if it happens, unless we start becoming successful it will always happen as Pearson said we need to get in a position that the club keeps hold of it quality talent. Finances make the decision unfortunately at the minute.

Pete, here’s a segment of an interview from Mark Steed, the guy who runs the investment company behind Gamechanger 2020 Ltd, who are behind Ipswich Town:

I’d say he quickly got the measure of Ashton!

Especially with the “skill of luck” comment.

I think Ashton will be shitting himself if they don’t get promoted.  Squeal like pig, Mark!!!

Personally I hope he gets found out ? what he's wasted at our club is unforgivable but yeah definitely going be kept on his toes.

There are plenty of legitimate criticisms of City, our miserable lack of success over many years, and a lot of the decision making at the top level.

However, “we want our club back” is not the sort of message I would endorse. That’s not it at all.

We are not hostages to some wreckless foreign owner with no appreciation for the culture or essence of the club and the city of Bristol as a whole. Actually, the Lansdowns have built us a stadium with no end of nods to tradition, not to mention the return of the robin to the badge and the purple and lime kits in recent years. Generally I think they have shown great respect for the club and it’s traditions while simultaneously trying to create the modern, marketable brand that we need.

If you’re going to protest about issues with the club, then you need to accurately represent the current sentiments of the fanbase. I don’t think “we want our club back” does that.

I've criticised the Lansdowns in the past I didn't agree with the support of Johnson or Ashton and especially the Holden situation, but to do a protest currently is just embarrassing can't see who's going to give a s**t!! With the appointment of the new CEO it does seem like they are trying correct the mistakes and Lansdown has made a few, We do need investment ,Alot of work has gone in to get this club out of the brown stuff and Pearsons part of that..Have patients success will come!

I know he’s not played a lot this season, but he just goes about his job with no fuss or thrills.

A mix of RCB3 or RWB, he’s come in and done a decent job in each game…without playing at his best position - RB.

Provides a bit of physicality too.

No super-star, but showing the potential to be a reasonable, cheap signing, from Lg2, capable of being a squad player in the Championship at this early stage of his development.  Let’s not forget he had two long term hamstring injuries last season, so almost like it’s his first real season.

    Well done George.

Hence why he not been playing much this is where as a club we have got better at managing players considering he's come into the first team quicker than expected, George is looking like a really good signing and can only see him improving. His back ground can also be helping him massively ie Manchester utd.

Lansdown has made plenty of mistakes over the years but to sack Pearson now would be the biggest of the lot.

The bloke is sorting our club out from top to bottom. Let’s hope SL doesn’t listen to the brain dead sections of our fan base

Spot on mate at last someone with sense people just havent a clue.. The Johnson era and spending has turned the expectations through the roof we need to come down a peg or to for a while.

  9. I've been very critical of the Lansdowns of late but I'm more than happy with this appointment was expecting internal appointment or someone not so experienced. I've noticed he has worked with American owners and has connections in some way so maybe this will lead to something time will tell with regards to investment or owners.

I don't think we could have hired anybody better in terms of experience in the role. As Palace fans note, it's quite an achievement for him to have worked under so many different owners there. Suggests he must have something about him.

Interesting that he was at Palace when the Americans took control in 2015 and has most recently been at Wycombe (also American owned) so will have connections/experience with dealing with wealthy sports club owners from that part of the world...

Hopefully from his most recent role, he got to find out how much Wycombe want for Anis Mehmeti!

Does make you wonder that he has that American connection.

  11. At last a steady experienced CEO hopefully now this will kick us on as Pearson said we need to stick together and have patience a man like Alexander with experience of clubs close to admin and lacking the cash we can move away from this period. I've become frustrated with the Lansdowns but they seem to be getting the message. Good appointment in my book.?

If he’d had come in instead of Holden, we’d be absolutely nowhere near where we are now.

Don’t forget, Adam Nagy called Pearson ‘strict’ for punishing players who were late to meetings or didn’t tidy up after themselves around the HPC. That’s probably the tip of the iceberg of what he was dealing with.

Yep and that's the attitude of players that was signed it tells you everything and that's a senior pro also the attitude feeds down to academy level.

  14. That for me is one of best interviews in a while good questions fantastic answers,I know results haven't been great but what Pearson is doing and implementing is top draw.Cant understand why people want this man gone. The club's had a soft underbelly for far to long and it's like players or staff join to have a cozy time in the south west.. Those days are gone.Pearson is right we need to stick with the club keep attendances up and we will achieve the results we want.
