Maybe true however I think Manning is better than Johnson, and I don’t think he will get nearly as much money to spend.

Let's hope we don't have to many loans sitting on the bench doing nothing.

He made it clear initially that the squad wasn’t in the right place for loans, and that could cause additional damage. He then stated he didn’t want loans as it could be a barrier to our own players progress. He was definately consistent with his message.

He was right in being consistent, Loans can be expensive now and he wanted to see our youngsters taking that opportunity,I have a feeling we will be in the loan market next season. I've said on here before we are back to the Johnson days.

Maybe. With the Plymouth job up for grabs, maybe Pearson might take that on (if well enough), and bring Andy in as coach there 🤷‍♂️

So much experience and know how leaving our club. Big loss.

I'm getting the feeling that this club doesn't like experienced people around the place it honestly doesn't make sense at all. Kingy deserves better if I'm honest and yeah a link up with Pearson again could be next watch this space I presume. James leaves as well it's a big chunk of experience leaving the building.

    Fair play. :sad26:

Doesn't look a guy that wants to leave to me. Retiring I can understand but leaving the club altogether I don't think 100% what he wants. Does make you wonder if the plan was to take a coaching role here from the summer if Pearson was still here. Always a plan to retire then coach for us.

One of my first favourite players, I loved him! I used to take a wheelchair user to away games, and when he was at the end of his career at Chesterfield he was warming up in front of us I got him to sign my programme and had a chat with him.

This is why he shouldn't of been put in the position he's in. 1 He's not qualified to take such a position and 2 it's going to ruin or has everything we remember him for as a player. The way I look at it he's made a big mistake and done himself no favours.

Excellent news that we have sold so many season tickets, glad to see a fan base largely behind the club and the good football we have been seeing on the pitch. Clearly the negativity of OTIB isn’t reflected amongst the wider fan base.

well done the fans, well done the board, well done manning - exciting times ahead.

Sorry, why would we cap at 15k?

That guff about potd supporters spending more money than season ticket holders just doesn’t hold water.

Can’t see the club turning down money from someone paying for a whole season and instead, keeping the seat empty, in the hope it gets sold every match to a potd.  Just doesn’t make any sense.

I don't know what the figure would be but going by what marshall said there is a certain amount and considering the south stand is sold out and the atyeo for away support that leaves the dolman and Lansdown stand,So would of thought there is a figure which it is capped at I can't see us getting 17k season tickets. I have a feeling there is a rise in child tickets again which ups the figure of sales so far.

You have to wonder how much that vision - for a team perennially overshadowed in its home city - will be realised; no Prem rugby side or particularly prominent other sports tenants seem likely.  As for being a short walk to the city centre.... umm, I guess if you fancy a stroll under one of the UK's most hideous roundabouts and through horrible Digbeth, then yes.

I'm thinking it's more for the housing and potential hotel, that Knighthead are interested.

That's all about the vision for one club even though it has things on the outside of the stadium housing etc it's still one club all about future proofing Birmingham city football club, Supporters will have a ground to feel great about without any sharing like we have. The Lansdowns have got it all wrong and they should of focused on Bristol city football club and not this Bristol sport dream.

Will Still was the first thing that came into my head with the comment too.

And let's face it...most football analysts that the Club rely on came about from the likes of such.

You have Jon's comments that are so flippant and show him in the light of no understanding of the fan base...and then the comments from NP recently that said the fan base were knowledgeable and patient.

You've only got to read this forum to see there are knowledgeable people on here.

Jon Lansdown is a good one to talk the way he comes across he knows nothing about the game and quiet frankly he hasn't got a clue how to communicate or respect the fans. We do have knowledgeable people on here and that's what gets me a massive disrespect if I'm honest. Just bored of this ownership and I think it's done its course.

  10. I've gone with yes as experience is vital if you really look at it we lose James and king ( I'm sure king will be leaving) unsure if wells Williams( new contract offer)will stay and Naismith ,We can't afford to much experience leaving the squad we lose those 5 players then it will be concerning even with an inexperienced manager.

Backs up what I’m worried about re Manning long term. If he’s playing the “board’s way” for these last 8 games, who’s to say he won’t immediately revert to type after a preseason…

Gone to playing the boards way to get results to get season ticket sales clever that 🤔 come at the right time that unbeaten run. If that's the case mannings not going to last long if the boards dictating things. As long as the Lansdowns are here this will keep happening and that's what they couldn't do with a pearson type manager.

Having worked at a senior management level with large companies in my career, I believe I have a pretty good idea how businesses should and should not operate at most levels - both accountability, corporate, commercial and Board level.
Looking in from the outside, it is plainly obvious to me how the current structure is hopelessly inadequate for what is needed. We have no chance under the Lansdowns unless a fluke like Luton happens.
We need change at the very top. Anyone who thinks different are in cloud cuckoo land.

And I've kept on saving steve Lansdown is a good account and that's it,The entire set up has no structure and no experience in key areas Just look at Jon Lansdown enterprise now that says everything.
