Keep at what cost though? Clearly Conway hasn’t signed because the number isn’t high enough. But how high do you go for a striker that has 9 goals this season, 3 of which were penalties. Tinnion did say it was someone abroad they were eyeing up.

Someone Mannings work with before abroad perhaps. Pretty risky as we don't seem to do well with signings from abroad.

I don’t think he’s bothered enough to speak to Radio Bristol again.

His only interaction with the media in some while was at home in Guernsey when he wanted to say how much involvement he’d had in selling Alex Scott.

Genuinely don’t reckon he gives a **** what we think.

Absolutely agree with you I don't think he will either.

Just been listening to an excellent SOTC again this evening.

Well done @petehinton I thought you spoke superbly. The language you used, “toxic, divided, deflated, pessimistic” was so spot on and reflected the mood of many, many fans right now. You surfaced all the key issues from Lansdown’s disgraceful decision making and reasons for it to Manning’s incompetence and Tinnion’s meddling.

The other two guests were excellent as well and also presented the view that things are truly terrible right now; although I did disagree with the notion of having to stick with Manning.

Excellent comment towards the end as well @Davefevs !

I thought Ed Hadwin seemed shocked by the depth of feeling. I really hope Lansdown listened in; according to Hadwin the request has been out there for quite some time for him to be interviewed.

He will come out end of the season and bang on about promotion next season and we will be challenging at the top end of the league. 😂

    Ellie here. Greetings everyone!
I don’t post on here but just want to say thank you for the nice feedback on tonight’s show.
I am not one to hold back at the moment, let’s hope things change and we have something to cheer about between now and April!

Well you do now 🙂 Your welcome hopefully we get a couple of results between now and April,Hate feeling like this but I've seen to many mistakes repeated by the people at the top to even invest my money in the club for next season the sacking of Nige was the final straw,I need to see positive change and positive I mean a more professional look to the club, A experienced look to the club,A club that gives fresh energy and also gives me that hope again.Thank you for being vocal tonight along time time coming.

And please someone remove that horrible badge on our merchandise that doesn't represent our club at all!!

    Notes from it:

    - Matty James is fully training as is Twine. Williams not as yet

    - They’ve had some physically tough sessions which in turn develop mental toughness - have now given them days off as recharging is very important (at this point I believe I saw Jon Lansdown smacking his head against a wall)

    - The large volume of games we’ve not won or drawn we’ve been in them. The culture is good and it’s important to stick together

    - Questioned as to how much of the plan is set game by game and how much is based on how he’d like us to play. Answer was that the behaviours needed to be right, had to run and had to compete, but he very much sees football as cat and mouse (….sake) and if the opponents are struggling against us then they will change and it’s about having a culture when the players solve the problem and that’s the big bit.

(NB - major issue here. He’s right that opponents will change but the problem is he doesn’t and he can’t expect the players to solve the macro problems. They did when they went off piste vs Swansea but that’s in spite and not because of him)

    - Bit about the fans, the youth cup, nothing else major. New phrase is “we need to do us” which is very romcom.

Not worth 8 minutes of your life.

    Glad I don't watch it 😂

Does anyone have the number for renewals so far ? I haven't renewed yet to be honest and if I do I will leave it very last minute I think this could get alot worst yet under Manning.

So called 5,500 and going at record pace 😂 honestly that's hilarious

There is a lot to like about the Lansdowns on paper, but their biggest flaw is that they run the club like a total echo chamber.

The “board of directors” (if we even have one other than the Lansdown family!) is a hand-picked bunch of yes-people who have made it to their respective positions due to being willing to play along with the Merry Lansdown Tune.

There is nobody who in anything resembling a position of seniority who is willing to call “The Family” out when they are wrong, or challenge the status quo.

If you look at our past ownership structures we have had Directors / Investors (Keith Dawe, Scott Davidson, John Laycock, Ernie Arathoon, even Colin Sexstone) who had been successful in their own industries in their own rights, and would put the success of the club before self-interest and create a healthy level of challenge at board level.

What we have now is an echo chamber, where what Steve or Jon say goes, regardless of how ridiculous it is.

It’s an unhealthy environment, one that has run its course, and which needs to change to allow us to jump off the slow, boring treadmill we currently find ourselves on.

I couldn't of put that better myself especially your last paragraph what I like to know is why are people so reluctant to call the family out? It bugs me that they are above criticism.

He picked up his injury just over 2 weeks ago and was ruled out for 3 weeks so another week to go if he’s on track. However, as he’s now our player, he’ll be out for 7 months. He’ll be back out on the grass 44 times before then.

Oh wonderful so the only time we will see him is in a crap training video 😂

The Derby midfielder is out for another week or so after picking up a calf injury in training. Speaking after the win over Bristol Rovers, Warne said: "He damaged his calf in the warm-up last Tuesday. We dropped him out and he had a scan and he's going to be out for three weeks maybe. That's a big blow to the team.

I thought he was out injured anyway has he come back and got injured again ?

Like Latham a lot but he won’t accept any criticism whatsoever of Lansdown, however valid.

Times have moved on & SL needs to sell up.

I agree latham does speak sense but I'm not sure why people keep defending the Lansdowns I'm almost bored of hearing we need to stick with it or we need a marquee signing  blah blah actually it's gone past tiresome and we've gone back to the LJ days and saying manning needs a experienced number 2 it's constant history repeat. They haven't learnt and they never will.

In tonight's Bristol Post James Piercy says it is the first time that City have reached the FA Youth Cup semi final. This is not true, City lost to Chelsea, the eventual winners, in 1959/60 losing both legs 3 - 0. I attended the home leg as a 12 year old having just moved to Ashton Road by the ground I got 4 autographs of the Chelsea team - Venables, Bonetti, Tambling and Dennis Harkness (I know - who!!!)

Glad they do there research shows what knowledge people have got of our club.

However I’m sure Matt’s win was on the up n up!

I did start to write and tell them not a chance I’m renewing until I can see a way forward. But thought better of it.

    Sometimes silence really is golden.

Yep certainly is I've made my decision now its up to them to change things and I won't be renewing until it does.

Good idea. Slight flaw in your plan though. The man who owns  the toy can’t help but want to play with it from time to time .

    Basically it's his train set.

I'm prepared to give him the summer and maybe the first dozen games of next season. If there are no real signs of improvement/progress by then, I'll accept that he isn't right for the job

He won't! Coaches dont succeed at this football club and even worse he's inexperienced. You dont learn on the job at Bristol City FC.
