Let’s rewind 2 years ago - if you search the historical posts on OTIB - there were posts saying NP out?
Are we blaming 2 managers or should we look at players? Just a thought.

Neither! People at the top have caused this bad decision after bad decisions, That's why everyone is arguing on here twitter etc etc stop the player blame game. Your only as good as those at the top. A sacked manager as technical director let that sink in.

Well according to Chris Honor on radio Bristol post match

“Can’t criticise anyone of the hierarchy, look at the stadium, look how much they’ve done for the club, they’re Bristolian”

**** me dead. Made me want to cut my ears off.

Exactly what I thought so the stadium makes all the difference 😂 Not the utter s*** decisions they've made, Honestly radio Bristol is absolute litter.

Not all though, the mental gymnastics to seek to justify the current state of play ate quite interesting with some..

This blaming of players is cringe hardly there fault if there at a certain standard it's people at the top that need slating.

I respect each and every one of you that put yourselves through twenty three minutes of listening to Liam Manning speak.

23 minutes you will never get back 😂

    My feelings exactly👍

I’m resigned to the fact that SL and the fans want totally different things and as it’s ‘his club’, I’m not expecting us to get what we want while he’s the owner.

That’s why I want him gone.  This is a pale shadow of the club it used to be and he can take a lot of the blame for that.  It takes far more than a shiny stadium to make something to be proud of and to be totally honest, this club just feels dull and bland now.

If he just listened to his ‘customers’ occasionally, that would help, but that really doesn’t seem to be in his nature.

His way or the highway ...

  6. For me all he needed was that first goal that one chance which nearly come his way and he had a couple,I always felt something was going to happen when he came on the lad was determined putting in challenges closing down getting in some good positions but it did come down to experience at times when to make that run and positioning but he definitely give defenders something to think about. The lads got something and I hope this loan him as a player isn't another pring or vyner(Until Pearson come along).  Go on boy bag a few goals get that confidence and come back to the city. Good luck 👌

    Might not be fanciful.

Remember a certain member of a certain podcast is being fed information by a certain Tecknikal director of a certain football club. And that certain member of a certain podcast was certain about certain players being certain to return to the squad on a certain date.

    Certainly worth considering….

Yes and that certain technical director is unprofessional in doing so. He has this thing about trying to make himself look good by putting things out there you just don't do it.

I think Anis gives us a glimpse into the future under Manning.

He's not a Manning signing but considering he was out of favour and that Manning went public that he wanted to sign him at Oxford, he can almost be considered a Manning signing.

It comes across as he is desperate to prove that he was right about Anis.

Naismith was quite vocal about Anis yesterday. That's worrying that his peers are having the same concerns as us fans. Does that then lead on to players themselves questioning the managers selections?

Anis didn't play so much under Pearson because he wasn't ready if you look at man city certain players join and don't start regular up until a year that's so players can adapt to what the manager wants the player learning and improving etc It's man management with Manning he's played him regular ok a few glimpses of the what we can expect but over all his game needs improving and he's getting frustrated.

Seen much of King on the training ground then?

What does he do that makes you want him in charge?

If kings got half the man management skills that Pearson's got then yes King will do well. I think you should ask the players what they think of king and I'm pretty sure they will back him 100% going by what players have said about him in training and around the club etc. if Pearson thinks he has the qualities then that's good enough reference for me.

I'm pretty sure he would of already planned for the summer and next season.

This is where things are getting a bit stupid on here and people need to get a grip

Pearson is gone and isn't coming back, seriously people need to start dealing with that

I do agree even though it's cheesed me off ever since he's left, But he wouldn't want to come back anyway why would he the club's a mess,It doesn't help by the appointment of manning if they replaced Pearson with experience and know how I think we all would of moved on just another ridiculous decision by inexperienced people.( IE ex sacked manager) and the way they went about it.

This is a Nige quote that isn’t quoted enough. We know enough of Nige to know exactly what he meant by this.

It's a great quote in one saying it says everything about the club from top to bottom.

I don’t recall him saying that, or perhaps i missed it, when did he say this?

Maybe around that west Brom game i can't quite remember the time scale of when could of been before but he definitely said it.One of the interviews at the training ground I recall.

Happy I’m not the only one, we’ve seen these runs of form and performances before Manning so I don’t get why he’s getting scapegoated on here like it’s something completely new?

Because he was brought in to work with what hes got and a couple of additions also progress, That's why they so called changed hence the crap about top six squad.. He was brought in to improve and change our style of play. We now have players that are not taking to the way manning wants to play and he comes out today and says he wants  players in that want to learn. So yes he will get slated because we had a squad togetherness and now that's slowly falling away. Him tinman and Jon deserve to everything they get.

We started Southamptons poor run beating them for the first time in 25 games. Problem is (and has been the case since Lee Johnson) we’ve failed to break down teams near the bottom and subsequently thought we’ve been above that

In a way we did but Southampton didn't exactly play well against Huddersfield the week before and they where shocking on the night against us. No you can't take away the way we defended against them and hit them on the break we played to the players strengths that's why we got a result.Manning is another Johnson a couple of wins then a poor run history repeat. Another Tinkerman that doesn't know his strong team a shocking appointment in my opinion.

Jon Lansdown needs to **** off back to his yacht after he has fired Tinnion and announced a chairman that has a clue and who is not saddled with top six squad comment!

effing Manning on the radio saying he needs players that want to learn! My lord!

Great man management that is how to ruin players trust in one fall swoop.. Get the hint manning maybe they don't want to learn off you.!!

Because it’s not Mannings primary role - it’s BT’s responsibility. Absolutely no doubt that BT would have discussed the deal with Manning beforehand.

Might not be his primary role but to have his first conversation this week is incredible if that was me I would of had my first conversation with all players one to one ages ago, When he first stepped through the door. It does come across it's all training based and not one to one management. Pearson was first class at it look at klopp at Liverpool you can't say to me he doesn't have conversations with the younger players there. Nothing to do with primary role you still have to build trust with all players.

I had this conversation a few years ago with a friend of mine based in the US who has a PhD in Exercise Science.

He couldn’t get over the lack of strengthening our football players do not do in order to protect their hamstrings. He understands how important pace is in the game, but feels our footballers would benefit a lot more by bullet proofing their hamstrings with further strength and conditioning. They’re not Olympic sprinters after all.

I also shown him some of City’s strength and conditioning workouts that had been posted on YouTube from pre seasons. Again, he was surprised on the execution of exercises and couldn’t believe how poorly they were being setup and performed by our players. Which I imagine happens across a lot of professional football clubs.

The last part of your post I've always questioned and spotted in these videos, I do wonder if these players actually warm up properly or do the exercises/routines as they should and if each individual is being watched on how they do these or maybe it's just a case of are the players to fit? Maybe a stupid question but sometimes muscles can be put under alot of pressure especially nowadays with sports science and modern pitches.

The steel work above all stands bar the Dolman is dirty and needs a wash and a paint job. I never understand why it doesn't get done every summer. And the ground level panelling around the outside of the Lansdown is poor also, featuring areas where you can see they've scoured off marks etc. Inside the ground Ashton Gate looks impressive, outside, you see how a still impressive stadium upgrade can be done on the relative cheap in comparison with something like Spurs'new stadium.

I take pride in our ground. It does matter.

Looks like surface rust on the steel beams In the south stand even the top of atyeo looks dirty was only saying this at the weekend. It will need regular maintenance because of where the stadium sits next to river traffic trees it all adds up even the wildlife and doesn't help it's all white shows up more than ever.
